Beckford to Leicester? Yakubu to Forest?

I'm all for constructive criticism and Anichebe still has alot to prove but those stats are all over the place, and don't tell the whole story. Half of his appearances have come from the wings, and he's only actually started forty two games for us since he came through. Lots of those supposed games are 5-10 minute sub appearances from the bench...

As for the cameos, the same is true for Beckford as well though. I was hoping to see more of a Saha + Beckford combo in the upcoming couple of games. (QPR, Blackburn, Wigan etc)

I think its the context of this deal thats important say for arguement sake we had 4-5mill of a kitty anyway, sold Beckford for 3-4mill and it enabled us to get someone better - say Bryan Ruiz then i wouldnt be against it.

Like i say it depends on alternitive option and what it enables and wheather thats better for Everton. I dont think Moyes will start Jermaine given a choice.

I know he had quite a bad injury and he's been in and out of the side, but his record reads 0 goals in 19 appearances last season, 1 in 11 the season before that, 1 in 22 in 08/09 and 5 in 41 in 07/08, but only 1 of those was in the league. That's 3 league goals in 4 years. It's very difficult to defend that sort of return. There are a lot of players who've found themselves out of the team or even out of the club with much better goals to games and assists ratios. Last year he only laid on one goal.

What do you expect? He's a player we've produced from the youth team with some decent attributes, not a 10million pound signing.

3 mil each for Yobo / Yak / Anichebe and I think that's good business....

Would be approx 120k GBP a week off the wage bill.....also when Saha leaves at the end of the season we should have some wages to play with.....

£9mil in total is a tidy fee, it's a shame that its for 3 players as I thought we could get 5 or 6 each for Yak and Yobo. But no ones buying them... *sigh
