Don't understand why so many of our fans seem keen to appoint Silva.

He's failed at both jobs he's had in England. His teams concede goals and throw away leads like an Everton (Martinez era) tribute act, he took Hull down & took his eye of the ball after 9 games in charge of Watford because a bigger club showed an interest in him. What happens if Chelsea come in for him 9 games into next season?

If it's not broke, dont fix it....but it IS broke.

No matter the expense (and it'd be covered by the free agent aspect of a Silva appointment) we have to get shut of Allardyce as he's finishing off the job Koeman started of obliterating any credible football identity we have left.
I don't want Sam long term but I think we've had enough changes this season with little or no gain. Getting a 4th manager in now would not only make us a laughing stock but the way things have panned out so far who's to say we won't be looking to get rid of Silva at the end of the season when he can't get a tune out of the squad either. Now that would turn out to be one hell of an expensive year on non playing staff. Leave Sam in for now, if Silva really wants it he will wait until the summer then he can come in along with hopefully a new DOF.

I don't know if Sam is the answer or not. People aren't giving him a proper chance though.

I think the truth is our squad isn't that good, we've bought poorly and we haven't given our new signings a chance to bed in.

People all have opinions on any new manager coming in but I'd like to think that most people would be open minded enough to give a new manager a chance to prove themselves, even if they're against their appointment, but many want to judge Sam before he's even had a summer transfer window.

Feels more of a witch hunt than a balanced assessment of a managers ability, considering our team has been a shambles all season, under three different managers, not just since Sam came in.

Silva is a Martinez mark 2

Do people not remember how that went especially with thes players. I would hope that neither BFS or Silva is manager of Everton at the start on next season

Im not sure why people want a manger who has failed at 2 clubs in 2 seasons, just because he was linked with us earlier this season.

He showed us we dodged a bullet, it would be foolish now to step back in front of that barrel. Hes nowhere near good enough, and there will be bigger fish available.
It's because they are blinded by their hatred for Big Sam to the point were they will literally take anyone as manager if it means he's gone and hype said replacement up to ludicrous levels because it comforts them. I can understand desperately wanting Sam gone but if that means pretending that Marco Silva is the answer to all our problems them in afraid that's a step to far for me. If anyone think he's the answer then I don't think they understand the question!

Allardyce vs Silva

Is this really where we are? And people think we should be doing better than we are.

We are exactly where we should be. And will be for a long long time.

Minor improvement against West Brom in that we had 4 attempts on target. And guess what? We scored.

I want the manager who does shooting practice and setting up shots in training guy.

At this moment I wish we were in the position some fans on the continent are in, where an announcement is made concerning change of manager and their successor mid-season in readiness to be implemented in the summer..

If we had certain knowledge that this atrocious brand of football would soon come to an end then the toxicity would be taken out of the rest of the season. If it doesn't improve markedly I think the fans will do Moshiri's job for him.

I don't think we're the people who are blinded.

It's those who have been conned by the media into thinking Sam would be a good appointment who are blinded. It baffles me to think anyone could think he was the correct appointment. Anyone who cares about the club and wants to see us play good football and improve should be desperate for him to go.

Not true of myself and many others. I had no problems in taking him on for the remainder of the season and take it from there....preferably with a very decent coach taking over at that point.

But the "football" is just disgraceful. It's beyond what can be considered acceptable.

If i had to choose right now on someone to be in charge till the end of the season, the last person i would choose would be Sam Allardyce. I am not saying that Silva would be top of my list either as he leaves a lot to be desired too and is not the one to take Everton forward imo. Silva would definitely be higher on my list than Sam boring hoof ball negative relegation obsessed defeatist Allardyce though any day of the week. It breaks my heart every game seeing what Everton have now become under him.
