At this moment I wish we were in the position some fans on the continent are in, where an announcement is made concerning change of manager and their successor mid-season in readiness to be implemented in the summer..

If we had certain knowledge that this atrocious brand of football would soon come to an end then the toxicity would be taken out of the rest of the season. If it doesn't improve markedly I think the fans will do Moshiri's job for him.
You never know but Sam may buck his ideas up now he knows our first choice is waiting in the wings. Stranger things have happened.

not that I am pro silva but how has he failed in his last 2 clubs?

hull he had 27 points from 22 games, an average over the season that would have kept them up

and now he has Watford 10th in the league or whatever they are, baring in mind he had his head turned a few months ago by us

far better manager than the fat loser we have now
First one was relegated, second one was so headed towards relegation he got fired. Thats really bad for just 12 months in the premier league. I mean he sounds perfect for Everton in the sense that Everton fans like failure and excuses, and he has both even if they sound reasonable.

The fact is Marco Silva is a bad manager if he was unable to keep Watford on pace just because another team tried to sign him. I mean he had 5 months to prove he was a great manager and then have all kinds of teams knocking at his door, and he blew it by losing his team. Thats the best case scenario. The worst case is that he was actually a bad manager with bad tactics and thats what caused the fall.

The last thing we need is another manager who either has poor tactics, or is a poor manager of his players.

He'll be in Qatar or China before the end of the season

Not true of myself and many others. I had no problems in taking him on for the remainder of the season and take it from there....preferably with a very decent coach taking over at that point.

But the "football" is just disgraceful. It's beyond what can be considered acceptable.
You'll get no argument from me about the disgraceful substandard performances and the horrid way we are playing mate. However If not being happy about Big Sam means I have to pretend Marco Silva will be a good manager for us then I'm afraid I'm out. I honestly would still rather keep Big Sam till May then get stuck with Silva for a couple of seasons. We can't afford another disastrous managerial appointment right now and for me Marco Silva would be the mother of all bad appointments.

Don't understand why so many of our fans seem keen to appoint Silva.

He's failed at both jobs he's had in England. His teams concede goals and throw away leads like an Everton (Martinez era) tribute act, he took Hull down & took his eye of the ball after 9 games in charge of Watford because a bigger club showed an interest in him. What happens if Chelsea come in for him 9 games into next season?

In Silva's time in England there's actually very little between their records.

Last season Silva took over with Hull rock bottom and lost their two best players. Allardyce took over with Palace just outside the relegation zone and spent £30m.

This season Silva has arguably out-performed Allardyce given the respective squads they have.

IMO, he's incapable of that.

I used to laugh at the West Ham fans giving him abuse for the football he served up. I'm not laughing anymore. They were right - it's utter muck that cant be endured.

I don't think we're the people who are blinded.

It's those who have been conned by the media into thinking Sam would be a good appointment who are blinded. It baffles me to think anyone could think he was the correct appointment. Anyone who cares about the club and wants to see us play good football and improve should be desperate for him to go.
I've seen nobody saying Big Sam would ever be a good appoinment for us for anything other then keeping us up. For what it's worth I think we will stumble along to that. Nobody wants Allardyce here, but if the choice is between putting up with the fool till May and then finding a proper replacement in the summer or getting strapped to the albatross Silva for a couple of years I know which one I prefer. We truely can't afford yet another shocking managerial appointment now. Big Sam staying is mearly a painful necessity so we can have a fresh start with a better manager then either Sam or Silva next season.

If someone offered me a manager who kept us top half in whatever position and a way of playing football that was easy on the eye I'd snatch their hand off.

What we have now is an embarrassment to the club and the players who have gone before, and it's an insult to fans.

This has to be brought to an end, if not now then the summer.

This will not stand.

He's gone by the summer. He's gone as soon as we are clear. But our esteemed DoF needs to make sure he doesn't push forward any buys that would kill us going forward.

Get a manager who has a clear philosophy for the club and a blueprint for the current squad. Despite being badly unbalanced, I do think this Everton team has players who can make a difference. Let’s get a manager who believes in the few who can help and knows where to get the rest. Stop pissing away money and spend it like we know what we’re doing.

What would be a bigger embarrassment to the club is to bring in an even worse manager then the dunderhead we already have purely to play some better football but still lose (because that's exactly what would happen with Silva at the helm).

This will end In the summer when we can show Big Sam the door breath a sigh of relief that this horrid season is over and know that we can find a manager who derserves this job and will be good for the club. It's simply better then panicking now and bringing in another substandard manager purely because he won't park the bus. I'm sure we'd all be relieved initially were Big Sam to get the bullet today but the euphoria would soon wear off once we realise that we are stuck with Marco Silva next season at least!

As for saying "this will not stand" you must know as well as I do that it will. The only way Big Sam gets sacked is if the club here their long term replacement and I fear for the club's future if the powers that be put their faith in Silva to lead us forward!:(
