It would all depend on how he broached it, but yeah, I could see him admitting it definitely

Moyes admitted Spurs were interested back when he was managing us

When? did he say he had been interviewed? I do not remember that at all - if he had said he had been interviewed there would have been murder.

Cant see another manager saying he has been interviewed for a role when still in employment and not about to sign on the dotted line...

But I'm not sure what he can actually do. What power if any would he have? 3 managers all churning out the same performances and results this season can't just be a coincidence. We are wasting loads of money changing managers, are we sure we are changing the correct role?
If it's not broke, dont fix it....but it IS broke.

No matter the expense (and it'd be covered by the free agent aspect of a Silva appointment) we have to get shut of Allardyce as he's finishing off the job Koeman started of obliterating any credible football identity we have left.

yes that's right let's get rid of the relegation avoiding expert at vast expense so we can appoint a guy who's overseen relegation in the last two years

That's right, let's get shut of him because we need to kick on from here and not sink to his natural level.

We were in an utter mess when he turned up

And under Allardyce we're still in an utter mess. We were 5 pts above the relegation places before his first game in charge, after the 10 prem games (30 pts) we've played under Allardyce we're 6 pts above the relegation places.

Now I know you'll say it's only 10 games etc, but there are no signs of progress.

Im not sure why people want a manger who has failed at 2 clubs in 2 seasons, just because he was linked with us earlier this season.

He showed us we dodged a bullet, it would be foolish now to step back in front of that barrel. Hes nowhere near good enough, and there will be bigger fish available.

Get shut of Sam, tell Unsworth he’s in charge until end of season......it was a daft appointment and if Walsh was involved with it he should go as well..........

After reflecting on this overnight, now that Silva is available, I think its very likely he'll be our manager by the end of May anyway. He will probably take a break and start going through the squad list in February and formulate transfer plans from Portugal.

I posted yesterday that I wasn't impressed with how he has seemingly taken his eye off the ball at Watford, and the indecisive manner in which he handled the speculation with us.

But the magic word is availability and it gets Moshiri and Co. off the hook big-time in the summer, in replacing a deeply unpopular Allardyce.

It also waives the need for them to do any real homework, yet again, on a new managerial appointment. Silva, the guy who used to manage the club just a bit further down the road than Wigan or Burnley.

It should never come down to an Allardyce or Silva "conundrum" but yes it almost certainly will - and there is one clear winner.

We should be scouring far and wide for the best pool of talent available, why limit it? Granted there will be no Tuchel or Simeone here but we have to find the next Pochettino and he is out there somewhere.

Silva for me is decent, but I'm sure we could do better.

not that I am pro silva but how has he failed in his last 2 clubs?

hull he had 27 points from 22 games, an average over the season that would have kept them up

and now he has Watford 10th in the league or whatever they are, baring in mind he had his head turned a few months ago by us

far better manager than the fat loser we have now

I think whoever comes in to coach this team will face an uphill task.

On paper, we look like a good team, but on the pitch it looks like we’re playing a game of fifa in your mates and he’s gone and switched the controls to alternative settings.
