Just watching match back this morning and a little gem of a moment is Lennon fronting Costa and giving him a right mouthful after his sneaky elbow on Barry. If he ends up with Barkley in the England squad I might even support them.

If it's possible to be any higher thought of by your fans, but Lennon went even higher up in my estimation with his mouthful at Costa. Too long we have bent over and had our arses kicked, doing things the 'Everton way'. Top teams play on the edge, hiddink can moan all he likes, but Barry 'did a number on Costa' yesterday, because Costa has brought it on himself, but usually gets away with it. Replay to last seasons game at goodison, when Costa physically and verbally bullied Coleman and no-one from Everton stood up to him and the contrast to yesterday. Night and day.

Yeah I'm trying to be a bit restrained in my opinion on him at the moment but there's a big part of me wanting to proclaim him a future legend and that moment as key to a turnaround for us. Costa's face after Lennon lays into him is somewhere between confusion and shame. Absolutely priceless.

I thought he was outstanding. Again.
When the game was finely poised he had such reassurance on the ball and used the ball intelligently.

Our best winger and that is no easy task when he has Del and Mirallas (the total opposite applies to him) as competition.

You've obviously forgot that Tim Howard grabbed Costa by the scruff that day after Costa celebrated in front of Coleman.

We may be too respectful, but we've always showed unity.

IIRC some thought it was a waste of money spending £4.5M on him. Are they prepared to hold their hands up now?

He's consistently our best player.

Guilty as charged m'lud. (In respect that I didn't think he was worth anywheres near the £9m or so that the shylock levy wanted for him)

Don't mind having me eyes wiped now & again. Playing a whole lot better than I thought he'd do...Which is every bit as good as Mirallas, at his best for us.

Carry on, lad. ;)

I bet he's wondering why he wasted so much time at the Spuds. I love a man who loves a.. an.. er.. tackle.
