Aaron Lennon

Martinez wanted to give him, Osman and Deulofeu 90 mins so he decided the only way he could get them in the same team would be to play Lennon at right back.

In a match like this I have no problem, wouldn't want to see it in any league games though. He's obviously not a defender but it did help having someone as comfortable in possession as him at right back rather than Browning (who is a real athlete and defender but sort of Hibbert level with the ball).

Played well mainly, but the cross for their goal did come from his flank. Can't see Coleman or Hibbert letting that ball in so easily.
Plus he's like 3 foot tall.

Stick to playing him on the wing Bobby.

He acquitted himself better than he had any right to, but with an actual defender at RB we wouldn't have conceded that goal.

Yeh I think he fancied himself for pace (as he should), but John was just more powerful and managed to get the half-a-yard. Great cross and a good goal from Blackman in fairness.

To be honest when we brought him on I remember think img I would actually have preferred Kone to come on to help Rom out a bit more. Lennon did ok, didn't do anything wrong just didn't really do anything to win us the game which I thought was there for the taking at the time
