Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

I am the most ungreatful person out there and I OK with this signing so maybe some people need to lighten up.

He is a better option than McGeady and Atsu as people have mentioned, he also has electrifying pace which will keep opposition defences deep out of fear.

Also the fact its a loan makes it the perfect deal for me, I would prefer a loan than a permanant on him. Try before you buy persay. Nothing to lose, alot to gain.

Some of the negative comments about Lennon amaze me. Let the lad get a blue shirt on first ffs, and give him a chance. I remember when we signed Paul Power in 86/87, I was scathing in my criticism as I didn't rate him. I was made to look a right tit (not for the first time), lesson in how to conduct yourself as an Evertonian well and truly learnt.

Worst stats from any of our wingers - His stats for assists and goals is very poor tbh > 2 assists this season, 3 for the whole of last season, about 4 the year before.
27 goals in 305 which is about 1 in 9 compared to Mirallas which is about 1 in 3, Pienaar is about 1 in 7, Mcgeady about 1 in every 6/7

Bit of a scewed view there though.

2014-15 - Not played much this season in the league. Surplus. Still has 2 assists.
2013-14 - Didn't perform well. Neither did the team. 3 assists. 1 goal.
2012-13 - 10 assists, 4 goals.

And where you getting that 1 in 7 for Mcgeady? That's not his premiership output.

Hes got 1 assist and 1 goal. Lennon has 2 assists in less game time.

You know the way teams have been pressing us high up the pitch this season and sticking men on our fullbacks. This is where a pacy winger like Lennon will come in handy. Will give teams something else to think about.

Don't be surprised to see Coleman getting involved in games more in which Lennon plays on the right also.
I think you might be too sensible for this forum

He has made mistakes as we all would have done but I think he has a good vision of what he wants Everton to be. There is a stability about the club, a calmness and a pride. It will help us attract managers of a certain calibre going forwards. Increasingly where managers are not given any time, they know they will get that at Everton, and rightly so. I would hope a chairman is able to keep their heads when there is pressure around them. Too many sack managers before even a bit of fan pressure has come on. He is also a good negotiator. Unfortunately football fans tend to overvalue our players so it can always look as if we are selling players cheaply. However it is hard to think of too many players we have let go who I look back upon and think we could/should have got more for when that was negotiated.
Managers get time...Moyes did, and Walter got too much of it. But fat chop's "good vision" for the club had us in a box hovel in Kirkby until KEIOC slapped him down.

Stability....Trevor Birch lasted a month or two, Wynness objected to interference and was summoned to a billionaire's yacht to explain himself, and Ian Ross leaked emails critcising the running of the club and direct colleagues.

Pride...banning AGM's, briefing the media to denigrate fans, having serial bankrupt Robert Earl on the board, and lying to fans about "effectively free" "world class" stadiums is nothing to be proud of.

A good negotiator would have clinched the NTL investment deal, arranged capital to finance the Kings Dock, avoided the 25 year term repayment loan, and clinched one of the various buyouts that have been put to him instead of asking far too much.

Joke of a chairman and if our managers start us slipping down the Sky TV gravy train by failing to over perform on limited resources, he's left us with no meaningful commercial income to rely on in comparison with competing clubs.

You including the goals he scores in training and the warm up?

Imagine writing a player off before he's kicked a ball for us.

I didn't even do that with McCarthy ffs.

A player who has played at 2 World Cups and in 300 premier league games as well.
