So glad he has been released with no charge.
Hope the local police keep him safe from reprisals from the lowlife family members .
Really Pete? Here's your recent comment on that other well known centrist, Margaret Thatcher;I am not right wing, I am a centrist. If I were to insinuate that your opinions came from the Morning Star or the Sun or whatever, I am sure you would rightly feel insulted, so I never would. Perhaps you could extend the same curtesy to me. If I quote a newspaper I generally attribute it.....

'She was the driving force behind changing a decrepit and union ruined country into one of the best growing economies. She changed all our lives, and the lives of our children for the better..........'
I don’t care if good policies come from the left or the right, I have no dogma in that respect, as long as they benefit the country and it’s people . I stand by both of my comments.....
So now it’s being reported that the scumbags family/friends will attempt revenge, this may not actually be so because I expect armed police may well be on standby. However, having invaded the mans home, the relatives have now set up a shrine for the scumbag directly opposite his home. We really are far too tolerant of these people. The council should remove any objects deposited without delay......

All the flowers have been removed from the fence and dumped on the floor , apparently .
By the residents though I think rather than the council and the locals response is completely understandable.
The BBC do say it wasn't done by the local council or police . Happened overnight
Exactly that’s what I’ve said

To take your first point I’m not sure how well he’ll be protected if he returns home , I’m not sure we’ll have armed police posted outside his address ad infinitum . logistically I don’t see that being an option so unfortunately you get a reactive response which is far from Perfect . Obviously the actual threat, rather than newspaper reports, will need to be assessed by the relevant authorities .
On your second point I’m able to empathise with a family that feels a loss whatever the character of the individual involved but I completely agree that that display feels wholly inappropriate and the council should certainly look to remove it.
