Ok I’ll give an example or two, a group of travellers entered a local field that had a gate locked with a padlock and chain. The chain was cut, which is against the law.The Police refused to do anything because they couldn’t prove who precisely had cut the chain and allowed the travellers to remain. A building society had a safe stolen by ramming the building with a telehandler and taking the safe which was put onto a truck. The truck was found, hidden, close to a traveller site but no further enquiries were made. Why, because they were being sensitive to a minority group. Meanwhile, a farmer who had a barn burnt down was suspected of arson, when in fact it turned out to be some kids. A different approach you see.....

And I sympathise with that. That’s clearly wrong.

What is with this daily mail comment, is it supposed to signify something or is this a way of branding an opinion.....

I am not right wing, I am a centrist. If I were to insinuate that your opinions came from the Morning Star or the Sun or whatever, I am sure you would rightly feel insulted, so I never would. Perhaps you could extend the same curtesy to me. If I quote a newspaper I generally attribute it.....
 
For what it is worth my opinion is this

1. Yes the police must investigate the circumstances that caused the death of the alleged intruder.

2. Initially the victim accused of unlawful killing should be removed from the property, as that is now a crime scene, and relocated to a friend's or family care under house arrest.

3. If found to be reasonable force then the coroner must pronounce "death by misadventure" so as not to sully the future character of the victim.

4. Obviously if foul play is discovered the victim should then be handled to the full extent of the law

Every case is different but initially the victim of the alleged intrusion should be dealt with care and compassion untill proven otherwise.
 
Love the way the cousin of the deceased came forward to extol the virtues of the guy.
As night follows day, he was a good kind lad, would help anybody, but was in a bad place when this happened.
Too right he was in a bad place.

What are they going to say though “proper scumbag our Henry , he’d have the eyes outta your head “ ? Nobody speaks ill of the dead , it’s even an expression . Somebody dies in combat and he’s always one of the best , a police officer is killed and they’re always a true inspiration and a the epitome of a ‘proper copper’ and pretty much without exception anybody who dies is reported as much loved .

My point is that this bloke is a burglar , regardless of this incident , a verminous low life that preyed on the vulnerable and elderly. Pretty much the perfect example of the lowest of the low , you can understand that his family would still be upset by the loss though .

I have had the unpleasant experience of being awoken by intruders in my house.
I went downstairs to find the back door open and outside in the garden next to me, the two lads were inspecting the contents of my wife's handbag.
Red mist descended and just with a pair of jeans on, bare chested and barefoot I literally charged through the old fence and foliage to get to them. I'd given no thought to what the outcome could have been had I got to them there and then.
I'll take my chance in a court of law for any consequences brought about by somebody else's wrongdoing against my family in those circumstances.

The rest of us can only imagine, I’d probably have a heart attack and drop dead on the spot......
 
I just hope the brexiteer murderer allows the victims family into the house and lay flowers at the scene of his killing.

The almighty lord will punish this man for breaking the most sacred commandment.

It was in the various local newspapers, the one I posted was just a summary of events, I was not using it as a means to prove or disprove anything that Groucho and I were talking about.....
