i seemed to have inadvertently stumbled on the daily mail here.
Depends, how pretty was said plant?Think its still reasonable force isnt it?
eg- if i see someone in my garden trying to steal a plant, i shout at him and he tries to jump the fence, i then grab him off the fence and stab him repeatedly until he dies... then thats prob considered unreasonable
Not antagonizing, is it normal for one to be arrested for "suspicion of murder" in a case like this in the UK? I understand he may be cleared subsequently, I'm largely wondering about the order of arrest-investigation-decision on charges
Your stereotypical assumption isn’t true.
Strange forum this,a thread about knife crime and then another saying its wrong to investigate somebody for stabbing another person to death
Well there’s a thread about knife crime where no one ever seems to get arrested, then another about an armed burglary where the burglary victim is arrested.....strange indeed......
One person has been investigated for stabbing another to death, what is supposed to happen? You cannot just pat the man on the back say well done and be on your wayWell there’s a thread about knife crime where no one ever seems to get arrested, then another about an armed burglary where the burglary victim is arrested.....strange indeed......

Why ? I don’t want understand the puzzlement. If the police had turned up and shot the householder in the head or he’d already been sentenced to 30 years i’d get it but it’s the police investigating a death which is surely one of their main roles .
The last time I can see somebody charged in similar circumstances he was a paranoid schizophrenic that stabbed the burglar 50 times as he fled . In the majority of cases the the matter is investigated and closed .
Of course not and no one is saying that. Well, actually the guys neighbours and friends are saying that but I wouldn’t. However I do find it upsetting when homes are invaded by Burglars and home owners are arrested for defending their property or indeed their lives, unless of course the guy who died did not break in and it was a cunning plot by the 78 year old to murder someone......
Im not defending the burglar pete, but I wasnt there I dont have evidence and statements and the police investigating and questioning cleara up any doubts as to what happenedOf course not and no one is saying that. Do you think the man being 78 precludes the possibility of murder ? I’d have thought somebody of advancing years would be more likely to say a 78 year old was as capable of anything of somebody younger .
