The fact that he is going to pardon the J6'ers who stormed the capitol is just beyond sensibility. The message is basically: it's okay to break the law so long as your party wins the election.

I think the biggest worry is what happens if he doesn't do what his supporters think he's going to do?

I expect his 4 years to be all about de-regulation and capitalism run wild. I don't think there'll be anything meaningful happening anywhere else (with the exception of abortion laws). I doubt he will imprison his political enemies, but his supporters want it and expect it.

The republicans may end up creating a monster that even they can't control.

We can harp on about the campaign side of things from the Democrats point of view but in hindsight it would seem that nothing was going to stop this stupidity from occurring.

My weekly shop has gone up, well this guy says something about tariffs. Let us see what the experts think....Let's vote for him anyway (I doubt many researched the effects of this policy, that is another reason this stupidity could not be stopped)

That would be like me telling you that because you live in the US you have no idea of what its like to support Everton...

It wouldn't be like that at all. You can support a sports team from anywhere, you can't live in America if you don't live in America. You can have an idea of what it is like, but like everything, it is not the same as knowing what it is like to live there.
