What can you do when the general public who is voting is genuinely too stupid to understand the reasons behind that inflation first being driven by the impacts of a globally disruptive pandemic event and then quick profit gouging by every CEO that could get away with it.

If Trump follows through with his global tariffs plan then these people who voted based on "the economy" are going to be in for a shock when inflation races upwards again.

I doubt Trump would implement any policies to prevent price gouging. It's ironic they blame inflation when it's currently at 2.4%; with Trump, tariffs would likely push it even higher.

The bolded would be the socialism everyone hates, yet they want lower prices (and the gub-mint to help them do that). None of it makes sense.

If inflation were a phenomenon affecting everyone (like just a pass through from supplier to end consumer) we wouldn't be seeing the profits everywhere we are seeing in the market
