Think that's a bit optimistic - if I were to put a bet on it, I'd say 42% Con, 26% Lab, 16% LD, 7% UKIP.

The problem with the tv debates is that no one ever answers a question put to them, and all they do is just [Poor language removed] each other off all night.

Exacally. They're shock TV BS that only benefit they stations that host them. They have no intention of ever showing an enlightening debate that could sincerely educate the electorate.

Weather or not she's avoiding the debates out of cowardice isn't really my point. I simply fail to see what we the electorate gain from these tv car crash farces. It's an insult to our collective intelligence to seriously suppose we'd gain anything from them.

I don't think it's too much to expect them to go through a public cross-examination. If you're but interested, don't watch it, you moaning old Minnie, but I personally like my bluster and gob-shitery to be tested as fiercely as possible.

For a bit of context, in Blair's landslide in '97, he got just over 43% of the vote. For a governing party to get even close to that would be staggering, even with Labour in the mess they are.

Just talked to 10 people and the result of the poll - Labour 70% LibDems 10% Tories 0% undecided 10% they're all the same 10%. Conclusive poll result Labour by a landslide.

Oh I'll watch it because I'm interested in politics and the future of this country but I defiantly don't expect any serious questions to be answered during them and i'd advise you to keep extremely low expectations for them lest you be very disappointed.

It's like on any political programme, interviewer asks said politician a question about their parties policies, said politician answers by saying "well when X were in power, they never did this or that" Just answer the ucking question you were asked!

Actually, that was a knee jerk reaction which I withdraw. The truth is more nuanced than either position and I'll reply in full tomorrow when I have more time.
