Just talked to 10 people and the result of the poll - Labour 70% LibDems 10% Tories 0% undecided 10% they're all the same 10%. Conclusive poll result Labour by a landslide.

Swing labour/con voters are going to go tory generally. Ukippers are going to go tory on a large scale.

I haven't looked at it in detail but if the tories got say 42% of the vote, which looks very possible, then I reckon they could get their majority to about 65-70 would be my guess.

Actually, that was a knee jerk reaction which I withdraw. The truth is more nuanced than either position and I'll reply in full tomorrow when I have sobered up.....

I've been pointing this out to people for a couple of years, but no one really wanted to listen..

Truth is the better-off are already increasingly shouldering more of the tax burden than ever before, despite the rhetoric about fair societies etc.

Low earners pay more tax as a proportion of their income than high earners due to indirect tax such as VAT, taxation on cigarettes /alcohol/fuel etc.

There'll be plenty migrating to the Liberals due to Corbyns unpopularity this time round, who aren't and have never been liberal voters......a combination of tactical and protest voting

Disenfranchised Labour voters who didn't want Brown and disenfranchised Conservative voters who didn't want to vote for Cameron and sought for any alternate. Lots of them had probably decided to vote for the Lib Dems before the tv debates simply to punish their respective party's for their failures adequately represent them.
