Political noob here, is a Lib Dem vote a wasted vote? transpires I'm pro Lib Dem, anti-labour and Tory neutral/apathetic.

Kind of expect Labour to snatch it anyway in no small part due to the tuition fee thing, but equally fear these students are going to get mugged off, who pays for it all?
As others have pointed out, it really depends on were you live mate. A vote for the party you bealieve in is never a wasted vote but if you want make a difference you should look into who the main frontrunners are in your area and make your vote based on who you prefer out of them.

That problem when you replace the incompetent lady with a nasty one:

Is it Labour party law that the shadow home secretary has to be crap or something?!

A story from 2011. Not really a nice thing to do. They would have been better to have concentrated on something else. Surely, she has more incidents were she was not nice.

As decent a campaign as Labour have had up until now, they could be undoing a lot of that work in the last 24hrs. That Lyn Brown story is going to go viral and cost them plenty.

The Lynn Brown story from 2011, goes to show how low the Tory rags will go to resurrect stories from 2011. The sign of desperation. Their darling is getting a hammering and that is the best they can come up with.

I agree that Corbyn has come across rather well during the campaign, but you only have to look back to 2015 to remember how Ed Miliband was perceived to have run a pretty decent campaign and saw his ratings improve, but in the end was still completely rejected by the electorate. That is why I don't think that the groundswell of Labour support in the opinion polls will be translated into solid gains at Westminster.

Say what you will about the Tories campaign, but at least May has been putting herself about in difficult areas that would traditionally be considered no-go zones. She has clearly positioned herself as a "One Nation Tory". Sometimes being seen to take the difficult option gets you a lot of kudos. Cameron campaigned heavily in LD seats in 2015 and it paid off for him spectacularly.. the Tories do seem have a killer instinct when it comes to knowing what they need to do.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Ahh. OK. Thought it was today. My bad. Not good, but old news is never as damaging and all part of the mudslinging that goes on during campaigning.

'Thought it was today', nothing like the gullible wanting g to jump on any 'bad news for Labour'. At least you are consistent in your anti Labour/Corbyn dislike.Keep up the good work.

That's how politics works. If a conservative MP had done something similar in 2011, you can bet every penny you have it would have been brought up too.

There is a good way to prevent stuff like this though - don't be horrible!

'That's how politics work' - you mean using stories from 6 years ago to try and discredit a political party. Labour has been too nice to May as there are plenty of skeletons in her cupboard to do with her time as Home Secretary from 2010.

If only they would bring things up more often from 2011, to discredit May and the Tories. It wouldn't be too difficult. But if they did, the anti Corbyn brigade would be shouting and screaming that he is 'playing dirty'.

The Tories are desperate and as usual will use all the dirty tricks in the book including lies, slurs and innuendos. As they have done every since Corbyn stood to lead the Labour Party. You were quite happy to peddle a story from 2011 to attempt to discredit Labour. But heh ho 'that's how politics work'.

Edit.Maybe Johnson should practice the 'don' t be horrible'. What did he say to that taxi driver? I just can't remember.

All I am saying is both sides engage in the same stuff, and as I said, if a Tory had said the same thing, they'd be crucified too (and rightly bloody so).

It's great that both the left and the right accuse eachother of dirty tricks and gutter politics - that's how you know they're both at it. I'm not sure which side is better though...
