...there is a chance she might be genuinely ill even if the timing doesn't support that view.

Nah no chance. It's basically code for sacked.

On the 0.1% chance she is actually ill, I wish her well obviously - but as a human, not a politician. She has no business being in that job.

..I suspect you're right, her performances have been dreadful but I only said to Mrs Eggs a day or so ago that Abbott looks to have lost a chunk of weight. I know nobody wishes I'll health on the woman.

That problem when you replace the incompetent lady with a nasty one:

Is it Labour party law that the shadow home secretary has to be crap or something?!

No, but it's Guido Fawkes' role to be the papparazzi for the right-wing.

I quite agree. Doesn't change my point though! I don't see why they'd not use this opportunity to replace Abbott with somebody half decent.

Okay, fair enough, sounds like a bit of a divvyish thing to do, but without being there to see it's just anecdotal. She's only a temp anyway.

I do agree, I just think it's a missed opportunity and it opens them up to unnecessary criticism.

Dianne Abbott stood down for health reasons

Christ.. what a time to make such a decision.
It was clear that she is literally not fit to run for high office which can't reflect well for the public's perception of Labour being ready for government or Corbyn's sense of judgement.
