Still isn't too late for a rogue poll with a Labour lead. I hope it happens, just to see the internet fall apart.

All I am saying is both sides engage in the same stuff, and as I said, if a Tory had said the same thing, they'd be crucified too (and rightly bloody so).

It's great that both the left and the right accuse eachother of dirty tricks and gutter politics - that's how you know they're both at it. I'm not sure which side is better though...

So something appears in the Telegraph today, about what Lynn Brown said and did in 2011, and you just couldn't wait to share that information with us because it 'appalled you'. How do you feel about a Foreign Secretary who uses very choice words to a taxi driver? Maybe, I should look back at your posts and when you mentioned anything about Johnson, you would have automatically referred to what he said and implied to a taxi driver.

By the how do you feel about a gutter snipe like Johnson? The Tories are better at gutter politics because that is all they have as witnessed through their castigation of the sick, poor, disabled and those claiming benefits. They also have more mouthpieces and outlets to spout such bile. But heh ho, 'that's how politics works'. Labour should get as nasty as the nasty party. But they are far too nice.

2 things:

1) I didn't see it on the Telegraph, I saw it on Twitter (I also remember the original story from 2011). Far too busy to be reading the Telegraph during working hours. I also never said it appalled me.

2) I have no qualms whatever with criticism against Johnson - I find him to be a bit of an oaf in all honesty.

Hope that helps!

Corbynites, what say you about the line of reasoning that his remarkable showing in some polls will only strengthen Labour's lead in constituencies that they already hold, rather than flip critical marginals?

I want to believe, but...
