You've not explained why she's weak - you've just explained why you don't really rate her, which wasn't what I asked.
She has already backed down on several issues in the face of criticism including the tax fiasco when Hammonds plans were scrapped. She has an extremely divided Conservative party where she can't even count on them to follow her vision of post Brexit, whatever that may be.

She has played the right move calling a snap election now. She knows these brexit negotations are not going to take 2 years but quite a bit longer.

2020 came around and general election while negotations are taking place, would have looked bad for her.

Or alternatively we'd have ended up with a dogs breakfast of a deal in 2019 and she'd have been going to the polls with that fresh in minds.

Of course you have the right to change your minds.

My point was that you, your mate, Eggs and I have voted for a party whose leader did what Blair did, and yet you, your mate and Eggs are now saying that because you think Corbyn can't win you won't vote for him. I do not see the logic in that, and TBH the sort of politician that arises as the result of that sort of thinking would probably be a bit terrifying.

I'd be delighted if the Tories were to lose the GE in June, I truly would... I just cannot for the life of me see Labour winning with Corbyn at the helm.
I don't overtly dislike his politics, he just fails utterly to inspire any confidence (for me) whatsoever.

I don't want a potential 20-years of Tory government, but right now, there doesn't appear to be a party to sufficiently challenge them.

Maybe a coalition of the LibDems/Labour/SNP - but who the heck would front that ?

If, as some are suggesting, this GE in effect becomes something of a second referendum over leaving the EU, then there's a possibility of a chink of light at the end of the 'way to defeat the Tories' tunnel.

Right now, I (rather sadly) think the Tories will coast relatively comfortably to a GE victory.

As in the run-up to the EU Referendum, I will watch and read as much as I can of the political debate and hope that a beacon of hope emerges who I can genuinely support.

People need to put party politics aside. The EU negotiations will be a defining point for the U.K., we need a strong government led by a capable PM to negotiate on our behalf. May is the only real choice, no one in their right mind would want Corbyn or Dim anywhere near the upcoming negotiations.......

when did you last vote labour?

Lib Dems and Labour need a pre election pact to not both run candidates in certain constituencies.
Then the Tories would be beaten
Do those 2 parties have sufficient in common?
Doubt it

I'm not convinced either make her weak - both Thatcher and Blair faced numerous u-turns and very rebellious parties for a large part of their premierships and I don’t think that made either of them weak either.

I’m not really a huge fan of May, but the idea that she is weak is risible, no PM for decades has been in such a strong position, regardless of whether that is 'by default' or not.

If anyone gets wipped out completely I hope it's the (Un)Liberal (Anti)Democrats party. A horrid bunch of self satisfied smug elitists who's one single time in power with the coalition government they delivered absolutely nothing. Dim Farron is an embarrassment, they'd of been better off sticking with Nick Clegg then using this clown as leader.

I ask of anyone that feels they can answer, what's wrong with any of Labour's 10 pledges?

http://www.labour.org.uk/index.php/10-pledges

Not a lot that I can see (though personally I think it needs to go even farther - can't see much there to diminish the power of globalised corporations that in France both the left wing presidential candidate as well as Le Pen have suggested they want to tackle)

Labour need to get this out to people as I have barely seen the above and I am quite politically media astute (I guess it's difficult getting it noticed above the media din of "Corby's crap" that most people are falling for)

Reminder: The Tories are ruining our economy, our prospects, and our country.

I'm far better off with the tories because they don't tax me near as much.

Burnham was astute enough to see what was coming and jumped ship.

He's turned out to be a bit of a snake, even if he is a blue !
Call me a cynic, but I believe the majority of people enter politics for one reason. Power. Or influence if you prefer a less dramatic word.

Burnham, who is not by any means a stupid person, saw the writing on the wall with a power shift towards the left within the Labour party. He realised at a very early stage that he wouldn't be able to compete with Corbyn.

What he also saw (along with his mate Steve Rotherham) was an opportunity coming up with the Governments ongoing devolution plans and the new positions of Mayor in Merseyside and Greater Manchester. He would be able to create his own little sphere of influence in one of these traditional Labour strongholds. So he started towing the party line to make sure he'd be selected as Labour's candidate for one of the two positions. Haven't you noticed how he hasn't said a word against Corbyn since he withdrew from the leadership election in 2015?

You're right mate. He is a bit of a snake on the sly;)
