Milne is a journalist
McDonnell is someone who has spent years on the backbenches
Abbott was a very junior minister and has spent the time since on the backbenches

None of them could ever be described as "very worst dinosaurs of the bully-boy political age". Tom Watson could, as could Mandelson, as could Campbell.

If that's how you would like to summarise Milne, you must be incredibly blinkered.

If Corbyn had any real ambitions for the Labour party he'd step aside immediately, take that trio of thugs with him and watch a swathe of support return to the Labour party.

And just in case you are wondering what traditional Labour supporters who arent raving hyper left lunatics are thinking...

...well, I'm a 60 year old and for the first time in my life I will genuinely look for an alternative vote than Labour in the forthcoming election. This party reminds me so much of Militant inspired politics of yesteryear, politics of bullying and aggression. I can't bring myself to support the Conservatives so it could be Monster Raving Looney.

Which will be borne out in June on current trajectory

Sorry, I thought that describing someone as a journalist who has been employed in journalism between 1981 and late 2015, and who only resigned his post at the Guardian three months ago, would be accurate.

Reminder: The Tories are ruining our economy, our prospects, and our country.

Wow... it's almost as if a worldwide financial crash happened around 2008 to explain tha- oh wait, it did!

nah...that was a massive wind of change election, not the same i dont think
I hope you're right mate. It's just an opinion and I may well be overthinking it. But my assessment is based mainly on the two following points.

1) Nearly 4m people voted UKIP in the last election, about 13% of the electorate. I think it's fair to say that most of these were in favour of Brexit. UKIP, imo, are now a spent force, and I think that most of these will switch their allegiance to the Tories given May's stance on the subject.

2) Again, regarding Brexit, Labour have pretty much sat on the fence here and I suspect a huge number of traditional labour voters, who support Remain, will be extremely disappointed at their stance. I suspect a lot of these will switch their allegiance to the LibDems.

The combined effect of a big increase in Tory support, coupled with a big reduction in Labour votes, could conceivably result in a big swing of seats from Labour to the Tories.

People need to put party politics aside. The EU negotiations will be a defining point for the U.K., we need a strong government led by a capable PM to negotiate on our behalf. May is the only real choice, no one in their right mind would want Corbyn or Dim anywhere near the upcoming negotiations.......

Especially a party as horrendous as the Tories
It makes it worse certainly, but the same would apply if a very left wing Labour had such a majority. Our whole democratic system revolves around having a strong enough opposition to keep the Govt in check. One party having so much power to do whatever they want is not good. We all saw over the Article 50 vote what a waste of space the House of Lords is as a controlling measure.
