Corbyn didn't win because of Unite.

He won because people were given the choice between him and the people who actually lost Scotland, who actually lost the last two General Elections, who actually oversaw a reduction in the party membership of more than half, and who put the party tens of millions in debt. These are the same people who have spent the time since actively co-operating with the Tories in order to oppose their own leader.

Corbyn isn't perfect, but he is less electorally poisonous than they are.

You can get some fantastic odds on that, let me tell you.

The NHS collapsing, poor sick and disabled getting crushed, homeless ever increasing,100s of thousands of jobs at 0jours contracts, local authories cutting back to the bone but every bit of MSM bases it all on hard brexit

The SNP can't come anywhere near second - they only stand in sixty seats.
Do the maths mate. There are only 650 seats. If, and I know it's a very big if, as in my scenario the Tories win 75%, that only leaves around 160 seats to share around all of the opposition. In the last election SNP won 56 and other around 30s. I expect remain supporters to give LibDems a big boost. So yeah, I can see Labour still finishing second but SNP running them fairly close.

This is based on Labour losing shedloads of seats which may of course not happen, in which case SNP won't get anywhere near them.

what, like Tom Watson?

A man who has had a cracking going at unseating him on several occasions?

Nah, I meant the bad trio of Abbott, McDonald and Milne.

No serious majority of people in this country will elect Corbyn with those mutants around him. It'll be a massacre.

Excuse me for being thick, but what does MSM mean?

Milne is a journalist
McDonnell is someone who has spent years on the backbenches
Abbott was a very junior minister and has spent the time since on the backbenches

None of them could ever be described as "very worst dinosaurs of the bully-boy political age". Tom Watson could, as could Mandelson, as could Campbell.

She's just done what Gordon Brown should have done after he was made PM. Strike while the opposition are weak and the going is relatively smooth. Obviously looks like there could be some fallout later on with brexit that she doesn't want to fight at a GE just afterwards.

One good thing about this as it will at least bring the Labour situation to a conclusion, if Corbyn gets handed his ass then he has to go and Labour have to change tack.

Reminder: The Tories are ruining our economy, our prospects, and our country.
