Never gets old
WI have 2 lads both too young to follow football, if they are interested in Football there will be only 2 rules when choosing a team, 1 not Liverpool. 2 Not Manchester United, if they are choosing then they are not chosen.
Good job my dad didn't do that, growing up in the 90's I'd never have gotten to go anywhere. With my lads, I was subtle.
Can we go out for Pizza / get a bouncy castle / get ice cream / visit our friends house etc etc.
Yes, if Everton win. No if they lose. And I stuck to it.
They were frenzied toffees by 5 years of age.
You must've been so proudI was in a supermarket in Charlotte North Carolina with my 10 year old daughter, when a mum and daughter walk towards us and the daughter's obvioulsy come from a kids footy match or practice but is wearing one of their shirts. To my glee my ten year old turns to me as they pass and are within earshot and says "fancy seeing Redshite here in Charlotte". I know the swear filter will ruin it
I teared up just writing that...You must've been so proud
My brother, nephew, kids grandad and others have all had a go at convincing the kids that Man Utd, Chelsea or Tottenhham were better options, but I did my job and they're all Everton fans. Only one of them is really interested in football and has recently started playing for his first team aged 5, I hate the fact that their kit is red and I hope he grows to have the same irrational hatred of that colour as I do.
This is easily rectified. We all did daft things as teenagers. It’s never too late to turn your life aroundMy 14 year old son grew up an Everton fan, but always liked a lot of other teams. At the start of this season he decided to become a West Ham fan.
At least he still hates the RS
