The fellas bleeper went off so i was taken to the side and told to empty all my pockets arms up for a full body search.

What is the reason for this policy of not being able to transfer cup tickets?

Not sure mate, but as you get a credit for cup games, it may stop sths purchasing tkts, not going and keeping the credit. Happened a lot at GP, sths not going to games but getting credits.
