Alternatively, we have gone from having 36k Evertonians at Goodison to circa 47k at BMD which is a 30% increase on match going attendees even when we don’t sell out which was obvious last night.
Yes, we have. But it also places a huge question mark over:

1/ how long current pricing policy can be sustained once the novelty value wears off

2/ how realistic a bigger capacity is for us - perhaps even with some onfield success.

Prices are key IMO. More so than transportation and the difficulties over ticketing transfers etc.

Not sure what you are talking about. The seats were all paid for, just because they don't turn up that's not the club's fault.

Although I do think Everton can do more to allow ticket holders to offload their tickets if they can't/don't want to go.

Good post mate. Agree with all of that.

The identity thing though is just not happening fast enough for me.
When you say 'Identity' - what specifically do you mean? Are you talking cosmetically or are you referring to the character and feeling of the building? In terms of cosmetics and aesthetically, the stadium blew me away, I got to see it at night and in the day, today, at the stadium tour, and for me it's location makes it fairly unique. However, I do get what you mean about that 'Everton' Feeling! There were parts of the ground that felt Everton and parts that didn't, with white bland walls and floors etc. The 'Everton Way' outside the ground is a great start - but as others have stated there needs to be more imagery within the stadium that pays homage to the clubs history, to past players and to goodison park,
Itself, hopefully this will develop in time and maybe fans groups can represent these feelings to the club, there are parts of the ground that has such imagery and quotes etc. The tour guides today explained in part why the seats / stands can't have Everton lettering etc Hosting the euros was mentioned . But if we are talking identity, in terms of character etc, then we have to accept that only time will do this - Goodison itself at one point was new at points in time would have been considered state of the art, its only time and traditions and famous nights and games that developed these special feelings, and as other grounds modernised , the wooden seats and obstructed views became part of that character etc. I think that the fans should be happy and excited to be part of this chapter in the clubs history and to truly be part of developing the stadiums identity and character and to be part of developing new traditions and look forward to hopefully special nights and games in the future that will at some point become part of the clubs history

I'm not making any point about corporates as much as I am about a fall off in take up of tickets elsewhere, which is now clearly impacting attendance in the last two home games.

We're on 51K+ now and some way off capacity, which is not a great look for a new stadium opened 5/6 months ago.

The solution is easy enough: sell more tickets for cut-prices and /or hand them out to the community.

No shame in that. The reverse in fact.

Also just to add the tour guides today , were really good and told us a little bit about the history of the area and its historical significance to the city of Liverpool and in fact in some small ways its links to Goodison itself through the women's game . They stated they are finding new information all the time. Which left me with the feeling , that with the acceptance that moving from Goodison was inevitable at some point, then Bramley Moore Dock is a splendid alternative location

A bit of both: we need more Everton 'furniture' and signage to offset how sterile the stadium is to begin with.

There's no short cut to making this our fortress and part of our identity - but it can and must be expedited with a greater effort by the club owners to dictate to commercial partners that WE as a football club take on a bigger profile at that stadium than we've been *allowed* to make so far.

Funny the way we've gone from "We need a 60k stadium, there's 30k on the waiting list, idiots" to "Can't blame the fans for the thousands of empty seats in our new 52k stadium, it was a bit cold" 🤣

Ironic thing is they could sell 60k season tickets.

But season tickets are capped/all clubs intentionally want casual fans, and if you want them, you have to cater to them.

The membership requirement doesn't and time constraints dont.
