I thought the "Ouch. Continued...." really intellectualized the whole thing.

But you are bothered enough to keep making new accounts every time you get banned?
Leave it please ladsI have never been a member of this forum before I signed up last month. I keep telling you. If you genuinely have some issue with me, or who you think I am, DM me and we can discuss it.
I just imagined Wayne Rooney whipping off his safety glasses, switching off his Bunsen burner and dreaming of the day when he could get paid for his life's passion - organic chemistry. In sport, pay should be fairly related to what it generates at the turnstiles, irregardless of gender. If the women's game starts attracting more paying viewers tham men, they should be paid more than men. Until then, pipe down. I wonder what fuss would be made if a fella started a mens netball team and demanded the women's netball teams partly fund it to equalise pay. It would be daft because I doubt the men would get much interest, so why should they expect to be paid for it.
We don't live in a fair world though. I read somewhere that around 80% of the uk economy is base upon the efforts of scientists. Who do we reward the most? Footballers, bankers and pop stars ffs.
I read that in the USA the women generate more than the men.Why so bothered about it? You sound awfully bothered. Almost angry. Why?
Women’s football is a long way short of men’s football in terms of quality, a long way short in terms of popularity and a long, long, Long way short in terms of revenue generation. That’s true.
But the USA women have played more games, won more games, and been exponent more successful over the past 4 years than their equivalent men’s team.
The USA men’s team surely is not worthy of any cash generation and is just getting a slice of a bloated pie.
They’re rubbish. The sport is barely watched in the US vs their “big 4” sports and it’s the women’s team, not the men’s team that are bringing new fans to the sport.
I generally agree with the point - thiugh with far less force and anger - that you cannot compare the money in the two sports and therefore pay is disproportionate, but if there’s anywhere the argument holds water that the women should earn more it’s the USA national teams.
@artetas_biggest_fan I admire your courage for posting this deranged thread, but I really have to know why you care so much about this?
Really showsLove when someone starts a thread centred around taking shots at women.
Really shows whose the gammon folks on GOT and whose got a sensible head on their shoulders.
One thing lost in this argument is the athlete side of things: these women, like the men, work seriously frickin' hard at what they do. They put in the hours, they sustain injuries, they spend time at training camps away from loved ones/family, they sacrifice for the game they love. This love isn't dependent on gender, nor should the pay be. I've seen this first-hand as my partner was the manager of the US Women's National team for rugby. The athletes on the team--lawyers, Army helicopter pilots, moms, students, etc.,--sacrificed a lot to play the game they love, accepting lower pay than the men for really no good reason, excecpt for a few capitalist turds trying to make the argument that higher viewership = more pay, when in fact it should be equal work = equal pay.
