I note the US women’s team (who all get paid a salary from the national body) are more interested in lining their own pockets than pushing for more investment in the women’s game. They also get more than amply rewarded already through lucrative endorsement deals, which are never brought into the equation.

Basically they want an even bigger share of a smaller pie, and have tried to dress it up as being about equality.
