To play devil's advocate, it's probably unlikely that we will win the league in the next 15 years, unless something major happens in the meantime.

I'd rather build up successfully over 20 years than have a flash in the pan and stay down for years.

Obviously circumstances are different for Leicester, less than 10 years ago they were just promoted from League one,

So it's a huge accomplishment, and the championship isn't alien to them, but still... no thanks.

After witnessing our club fall to pieces through the 90s, and what we as fans went through watching us almost drop out of the top flight......not a chance would I want to see us relegated!! Ever!

If I was Wigan (Following FA Cup), Newcastle, Leicester or the likes then yes as they are teams used to relegation and not used to winning.

I have absolutely no doubt EFC will be champions again some time in the next fifteen years but my biggest concern is that I might not be still around to see it

The only way this would be remotely under consideration if the terms of the fair godmothers deal was such:

1. Win the league this season.
2. Get relegated the next due to circumstances outside the clubs control, i.e. - coach crash that puts most of the squad out for the rest of the season with injuries and no way to replenish.
3. Easily win the Championship, and FA Cup to boot.
4. Win the Prem 5 times in a row for the next 5 seasons.

Only then would that fairy have me considering putting pen to paper on that deal - and even then, I'd be questioning her motivation for offering it, and be wondering who else she's offering this deal to.

We would have to sell pretty much any talent that we scrapped together to win the league. Would be lucky if we even got back into the Premier league any time soon after.
