Nor me.
Reverse the question; "Would you suffer a RS title to see them relegated the next season?"
Hopefully, we would have a consensus.
I prefer them to lose the title on the final day and then be relegated the season after lol

Hang on. We were champions in 27-28. Contrived to finish last in 29-30. Got promoted at the first attempt. Then were champions again in 31-32. So not far off.
We've been there already and shouldn't fear it.
No. Would not sacrifice anything to see us go down either, most seasons in the top flight of English footie, proudest record ever. we go down less than my Mrs.Nor me.

Perfectly stated. As one of the older gits on here I have seen us win championships and cups and I have sympathy for those of you that are still waiting. However I can safely say that the worst period of my EFC watching was the first half v Wimbledon in 1994 when I was convinced that we were indeed going down...not even the humiliation of the "Keeley" derby match comes close.....Believe me you really dont want it to happen....at any price!!
That was my first game at Goodison - totally got me hooked and changed my life. I therefore have very strong feelings about that situation and the precipice we were looking down at.As one of the older gits on here I have seen us win championships and cups and I have sympathy for those of you that are still waiting. In short, a big no for me
Won the league 5 times, like.
You and me both mate, you and me both. How can you say that after Leicester won it last season?
I have absolutely no doubt EFC will be champions again some time in the next fifteen years but my biggest concern is that I might not be still around to see it![]()

What if you were guaranteed promotion the following season?

It still has to be a no. But I'm surprised more of our American/overseas supporters haven't said hell yeah. It's being in the office/school ground that would really be the pits if we were ever to go down. Just think how much we would give them lot if they were ever to go down!
63 odd years we've been ever present and really we can discount Arsenal who are the only team to have been in it longer as they didn't get promotion and were voted in, so they have bound to have had assistance staying up all these years...![]()
