Burn this thread ffs.

Charming!! :D

It's just a quick psychological evaluation. We all want to win things and we exist to win, so it's not that crazy a question. I was expecting to see a divide between the younger supporters who have never seen us win anything and the older ones that have where history may be more important.

Say the alternative is 15 to 20 years of finishing 7th would that make a difference?

Altho I think I should of upped the trophy count, so win the league and the next year the CL and throw in a cup!

Least we could blame it on trying to win the CL was why we ended up going down :)

It's all a moot point as I don't think we will win it by surprise, if we do we would have amassed a team capable of winning the league and therefore able to try and defend it unlike Leicester.

I want to win and keep on winning mate.

Balls to relegation.

As one of the older gits on here I have seen us win championships and cups and I have sympathy for those of you that are still waiting. However I can safely say that the worst period of my EFC watching was the first half v Wimbledon in 1994 when I was convinced that we were indeed going down...not even the humiliation of the "Keeley" derby match comes close.....Believe me you really dont want it to happen....at any price!!

Hang on. We were champions in 27-28. Contrived to finish last in 29-30. Got promoted at the first attempt. Then were champions again in 31-32. So almost exactly what the op is describing.
We've been there already and shouldn't fear it.
