William Carvalho

Are people seriously comparing this guy to Morgan? He's light years ahead. Bigger, stronger, faster, there isn't a single thing this guy does that isn't better than Morgan.

I’m not sure he’s faster. Scneiderlen for all his faults is fairly mobile and capable of covering a fair amount of ground (when he wants to). When he first joined us he was very good.

I want to warm to him I really do. He’s big and strong and has a good passing range.

I just can’t stop worrying about this though;

Im in the same boat. Had i not seen that clip Id be pumpes for Willy C, but now Id rather we go for someone else.

Carvalho is definitely not faster
Uh, Morgan is a statue. He’s completely worthless attempting to make anyone in space and as a result, he’s completely worthless. Carvalho is a much better athlete, covers mor ground, and is faster as well. Not that it’s saying much of course.

I'd much rather have Carvalho, but there is no way that Carvalho is faster

Carvalho's big weakness, to me, is how slow he is off the mark. Can look really lumbering, particularly defensively.

Schneiderlin is a spineless biff, but he is more mobile and quicker off the mark than Carvalho

Schneiderlin is lightning fast at moving into positions where noone can pass to him.
I've no knowledge of Carvalho but I'd say 26 is far too old to be signing a player who isn't proven at PL level (or German etc.). Brands has already said that it's about spending money wisely. I suspect that translates to a mix of
1. Racing certainty (can that be said of Carvalho, especially given recent experiences we've had with Klassen etc?)
2. Young, fast, potential, worth a punt.

You have to WANT to move to be able to be faster than somebody. Schneids would rather let the attackers pass him by than break a sweat!
