I can remember in the eighties a few pundits, and bear in mind there were nowhere near as many as today, forecasting Man City for relegation as early as October. That wasn't based on City languishing at the bottom of the league, far from it they were mid table. No, it was based on cack manager, cack players and no team spirit. Sound familiar?
They did get relegated so the precedant is there.
I'm not being deluded in any shape or form but I sincerely believe with so many points to play for, complete with the inevitable new manager "bounce" we will stay up in 17th position.

Im saying yes because these players are gutless and the board are clueless. I worry that this effects the future of our stadium as well.

Look at villa, leeds, sunderland.

They were a shambles.

We are too and have all the signs of a team to go down. The lack of intensity in our efforts to win the ball back and close people down has been woeful since martinez second season. It has become a poor habit and is now the norm. We have git used to conceeding 3/4/5 goals. That is the sign of a team primed for the drop.

Worst Everton side in living memory. A total shambles. They can’t do anything right and they concede at least two goals a game. No side can survive whilst doing that.

We have to beat West Ham and Huddersfield this week, absolutely must. Losing either of them two games is unthinkable

Over an entire season.

We're 16th now ffs. Think about how much would have to go wrong. January would have to be an unmitigated disaster and the new manager couldn't have any positive effect whatsoever or we'd comfortably sail to safety. We'd need excessive amounts of bad luck, injuries etc etc etc.

I want some of what you're having. If you think the prices were ridiculous in the summer, just wait until January, when we have to cough up £40m for Lascelles and £50m for Benteke.... and that's before we've bought a LB and RB*!!!

If it didn't happen in the summer, it won't happen in January. We are going down, mate. Get your head around it.

*Yes, Kenny had a good game today, but that's like saying Adam Johnson is the nicest nonce in Moorland.

We definitely "could" go down. But you would have to say, given a new manager, a January transfer window and a bit of bad luck with injuries for 1 or 2 of the teams with smaller squads we porbably won't.

Current odds;
Swansea 2/5
Uddersfield 11/8
Palace 6/4
Ammers 13/8
Baggies 5/2
Brighton 4/1
Stoke 11/2
Barcodes 6/1
Everton 7/1
Bookies are no mugs but surprised at Uddersfield odds

I think we'll stay up by the skin of our teeth. But if we do go down there's no way we'll do well in the Championship. We could even be relegated again.

Sad times.
