Only sensible comment on here so far.

You should always start your form players, otherwise how on earth can you expect ANY player to work hard to produce good form?

I agree that Lukaku is the better player, but he's been leading the line since September and rarely been subbed off, and the fatigue has started to show. Jelavic can view this as an opportunity to force himself back into contention with us, or at least generate some interest in him from other teams. The only risk is that he might not play that well, but if that's the case you sub him off and bring Lukaku on.

Exactly its a squad game,Jelavic scoring will only get better as well as lukaku not being over used.

Something else to consider is that we have developed a habit of scoring late on in games when the opposition has been tired out. Alas it seems in recent weeks that Lukaku has also been tired out by that stage, and other players have benefited.

Imagine a tired opposition and a fresh Lukaku from the bench.

Jelavic. Whether you agree that he is the answer in future is unimportant, right now Lukaku not playing well enough.

I'd genuinely rather start Mirallas upfront than Lukaku.

So the calls for in form players to keep there place, Funny I haven't seen any posts asking Baines to be dropped

I'm one - not "dropped", but don't punish Oviedo as he's played brilliantly.

That's why I was happy to see Oviedo pushed to left wing when Baines returned as Pienaar hadn't been performing too well. That way, Baines returns, Oviedo gets rewarded for good form.
