Lukaku obviously, far superior to Jelavic in every single aspect.

Just because Jelavic has scored two goals (and quite frankly, bar the goals he didn't do much bar fall over and miss two sitters) doesn't mean he should be anywhere near replacing Lukaku.

Hopefully it's just a good send off for the guy.

I'd have no qualms starting Jelavic. Lukaku has looked in need of a breather and would certainly be a good option to have from the bench if required.

Only sensible comment on here so far.

You should always start your form players, otherwise how on earth can you expect ANY player to work hard to produce good form?

I agree that Lukaku is the better player, but he's been leading the line since September and rarely been subbed off, and the fatigue has started to show. Jelavic can view this as an opportunity to force himself back into contention with us, or at least generate some interest in him from other teams. The only risk is that he might not play that well, but if that's the case you sub him off and bring Lukaku on.
