Where was it lost?

Lost to a side who have a vast number of talented players to call upon

We had 4 big players missing for us today and honestly believe with just two of those avalible we would have won

The goal, when it came. How you completely miss the marking on a player like Fat Frank, when he has that scoring record against us, is unforgivable. I still had hope mind, but that's the game changer for Chelsea.

Everyone was under lock and key for the better part of the game, Chelsea's 150-something-million midfield did nothing against our threadbare 2nd string.

It was lost by the fact Torres and Hazard cost £80m , two players out of the 11 that started for them are worth more than our whole team. They had the luxury to bring on Oscar and Moses, two gifted players on towards the end when our lot were tired.

We played the European Champions and potential title winners off the park and deserved the win imo. Just really unlucky. But that's the way it goes, ey?

Money had nothing to do with it today

I actually think we were the better side and both of their goals came against the run of play

The marking (or lack of) on their first goal though, was unforgivable.

Heitinga refuses to play fullback, so who else would you put there in the absence of Neville, Hibbert and Coleman? Heitinga needs game time, so it made sense to bring him in and move Jags to the right. Oviedo has is left-sided and has never played right back, so it would have been a big gamble to throw him in there against Chelsea. I personally like Naismith and he's liable to contribute a goal. DM could have tried Oviedo or Barkley on that side but they haven't played there for us before and it could have gone badly wrong if Ashley Cole was able to get forward at will.

I am sure I read that Oviedo did sometimes cover at RB in Denmark, but anyway I think he is a clever enough player to adapt. If Heitinga refuses to play at RB then Moyes should not pick him - his current form is not great anyway and I think Duffy could have done a job there, especially with Distin to look after Torres.

I just feel that Moyes is ultra cautious at times, in fact I am surprised he didn't go with 5 in midfield to match them up today.

Jagielka did nothing wrong at RB today. Hazard didnt get a sniff. Hazard against Oviedo on the other hand, little bit risky.

It was lost in the sky with the Gods.

We did everything right today in terms of our effort, performance and attacking verve. Some of the football was outstanding. The injuries did not serve to make us a shaky, nervous and defensive team. We played with great heart and no little ability. We stifled their best players and the likes of Osman, Pienaar and Baines ran rings around them: Luiz easily could have been sent off. We also hit the bar and the post and missed a few golden chances either through poor finishing or outstanding saves.

At the other end Fat Frank scored his customary goal(s) from some poor marking and then a scrappy rebound. We could just have easily lost this game against Wigan or Norwich, the luck just wasn't there. Nothing to do with their quality... I hardly saw evidence of it.
