Where was it lost?

We will have to disagree then mate, fine margins win games and inevitably win trophies, and its that extra quality that gets you their.

Now, if we had Mirallas, Fellani and Gibson, our better players, we may have converted more chances.

Better players have missed by greater margins...just saying.

Everyone would. But I'm just saying that as much as quality shows over a season we can beat them over 90 minutes. We've proven that.

The game wasn't lost the moment the fixtures were made the way you think it was.

To be fair i think Pabbers comment is the only one i've seen thats mentioned money which is an improvement from normal when we lose to a team who spent more money than us.

Guess if we were still in the bottom half and your manager is talking about knifes and gunfights its easier to blame losing to a team you have beat several times in recent seasons on money than wehn you're doing well in the league competing with teams who've spend more money than you.

I don't think that we were especially troubled by them. I think Distin was probably the best player but that was because he swept most things up before they really got started. Apart from the block on Torres I can't think of too much last-ditch defending that he had to do. It wasn't as if it was all hands on deck to keep them out.

We shall have to agree to disagree mate as I think he oozes class and presence every time he is on the ball.....makes them tick and everything goes through him.. looked dangerous every time he ran at us to be honest. He is head and shoulders above anybody else in that chelsea team and is probably the best player in the prem this season..............in my opinion.

Ossy is great example. Cracking little player, but his finishing is like an 8 year old child. Better player in those situations could give you 10 / 15 goals a season rather than 5.

He is a great player but I don't think he had a great game.

We didn't deserve to lose today. . . the majority of the side performed well and Moyes was positive with his substitutions. If Jelavic's freekick had rebounded to Osman or his header off the bar had dropped kindly for Naismith.

Agree with this, we needed a 2nd when we were storming it at the start of the game to be in total control and Jela's free kick was probably the best chance. Then as you mention, later in the game when it was 1-1 & we were on top and he hit the bar with a header. There were a few other moments (Ossie fizzing a shot from the edge of the area straight at their keeper amongst others) but if Jela's header had gone in then I would of fancied our chances. I thought he played well but it was one of those days where it wasn't meant to be for our boss slotter

His strikes on goal today were fantastic. Hard and low; nothing wrong with them.

Today's result is easy to explain - two good sides turned up, one of them had £150m worth of attacking talent and no injuries, we had three of our five best players injured. And yet they still had to fight like hell for the three points.

I'm very encouraged by todays result, nothing to panic about at all.

Spot on mate.

Yes, our better players were out, and we dont have the depth to replace them with as close as good enough players. Chelsea do.

It was a tricky game. Even if we'd have got a second we might have sat back and invited Chelsea to play. We did seem to dominate them though and most Chelsea players will admit that Goodison is one of their least favourite places to come to so, if we could have taken it to 2-1 with 20 minutes remaining, the fight might have gone out of them.

It was our third game in a week, so they did really well to play with such high intensity.

But we play in the present, and they are European champions, and spend hundreds of millions on players. Records and landmarks from years ago have no baring anymore.

Yeah, of course we play in the present, and they are a good side, no doubt. But only because of one man and his vanity. No depth, no class. In 50 years we will still be Eberton; them? Not so sure

that type of player cost a lot of money which we dont have

ossie form in the main this season has been brilliant and widely recognized outside of goodison pk yet results dont go our way and all of a sudden its ......" well he he could do this that and the other then.........

Not taking chances. We can create brilliant momentum and sustain 20-30 minutes of intense pressure an carve out 4-5 chances. Then that's a massive gamble, at that intensity we have to at some point drop deeper and concede possession.
