What is the problem with this team?

The problem with this team is compleat and utter lack of pace defensively, last season we played with 6 defensive minded players and did yesterday too, and of those 6, I would say 5 are too slow, Baines Keane Jags Gana and Schneirdlin all way off the pace, Baines got burned several times yesterday. In my opinion you can have just one slow player in defense, Keane would be a star player if there was fast players around him. 1 slow player out of 6 is fine but 5 out of 6 is asking for trouble.

Too many players with no pride, their sole ambition growing up was to be a professional footballer and nothing else. Not a winner amongst them bar Pickford. The whole club has been steeped in mediocrity for so long, the new regime have got a massive job on their hands.

There,s not one player that, in my opinion, has any leadership abilities .
There seems to be a total lack of eagerness within the team-squad to be even bothered before they even kick off.

We need a center midfielder to organize the attack instead of two defensive midfielder. We need a solid center defender. Williams, Sandro and Schneiderlin are not perform well on the pitch. RK used lot of transfer fee to sign some under performed players, finally high price in, low price sold out. I miss the smart players transfer in the period of David Moyes and Martinez.

The problem is simple - we have overpaid for average players!
Williams, Schneiderlin and Keane are perfect examples of this - all are an absolute disgrace

Mirallas - why is he still there? Left because he's terrible, couldn't get in the olympiakos team because he's terrible and his attitudes appalling, yet he comes back and remains playing for us? Bad player, even worse attitude, no thanks cya later

Schneiderlin - cba anymore just given up both him with us and us with him

Jags & Baines - love them for the servants they have been but now its really time to move on, they're both applying for bus passes

Williams - Signed 3 years too late, garbage

Keane - no confidence and slow

Gana - got the energy but his first touch and technical ability let him down

Davies - Sorry but take your blue specs off, he's terrible got a woeful first touch that completely stops him every time, only good thing he likes to go forward

Besic - been here for years done nothing, cya waste of time

Kenny - not good enough I don't think personally

Bolasie - just wants to post tricks from years ago on Instagram

Agreed on majority here. Gana and TD have reach. Besic is make or break by end of this window. Kenny loan to a top champ side. Keep Jagz and Baines, give testimonial then get rid. Bin rest now.

Again, we don't high press and don't play a high line, so that's not the issue. The issue is they can't defend in space in any situation.

The issue with replacing Tosun is it would be cost prohibitive. To get someone considerably better would be ludicrously expensive.

Barry used to be the maestro of committing a tactical foul or yellow card in order to stop a dangerous scoring opportunity from taking place.
