Bye
You saying we aren't capable of playing better? Ok mate, shut the door on your way out.

We definitely are capable of much better, yes.

And we will get better. The fact that even without playing well, we're higher than we were this time last year when we playing brilliantly, proves that it's not all bad.

It doesn't baffle you, you just seem to think everything is hunky dory, you n your types are just as much of a problem with your apathy, you have zero passion and are happy no matter what.
I don't think that everything is hunky dory, there's still a lot that needs sorting out.

But I don't buy into the tosh and doom that some people on here like to spout either.

but all I said was the brand of football is not good enough for Barca or Arsenal, do you agree or not

I agree. But Koeman has said nothing to do with himself going to Barca or Arsenal? Your point was irrelevant?

However, it's 11 games in. He had S'ton playing some very good stuff at times - managing wins over most (if not all) of the big boys.

Had our best-ever start in the Prem. Hit a real rough patch now and it's down to Koeman to get the squad playing with confidence again, and make sure that the players are stepping up to the mark.

Well he would if our fans weren't such utter melts and need telling how great we are and how we should be winning every league title in Europe...

Fgs, honestly it's getting pathetic.

Our new manager has been in charge for 11 league games. We're higher now than we were this time last year, albeit with a worse goal-difference due to that abomination the other night. We also, in general, have looked far better than the last 11 games of Martinez's tenure.

You can only develop an affinity if there's a bit of effort from both sides. FGS, we asked for honesty, and when we get it, we don't like it.

Sick to death of all the whinging and moaning and nit-picking. The squad is in need of a big shift, that much is clear.

The style has clicked a few times and when it has, we've actually looked very decent. But it hasn't clicked enough, I'm pretty sure all the people who actually are involved with the playing staff know that.
How can you say "if there is a bit of effort from both sides"? We have sold record season tickets and a relatively low key home game v Swansea coming has been sold out for two weeks and what does our manager say "we need to sell our only goalscorer for him to prosper as a player". There is only one "utter melt" as far as I can see.
Bring back Roberto, at least he spoke highly of Everton.

Koeman didn't say that though.

And yes, of course Evertonians will always back the team - it's what we do best.

But... there seems to be this constant desire (maybe it is just in the online community) to moan and whinge and over-egg anything negative about the club into something huge.

Money or otherwise, Koeman didn't come here for top 10 mate. that would be a step down from southampton if it were true.

His job is europa, until we show any sign of going beyond that. He gets europa, job done.

Yes he Did! Whether its 1st to 10th, thats where he will want to finish. The higher the better.

Very True mate.

But hypothetically, would you turn on him if he finished 7th and cup results meant that Europa Qualification wasnt awarded?
I'd say job done then mate. it wouod have kept martinez here in my eyes as well.

The issue I had with Roberto was the fact the league form was so poor rather than the end result. even when that 7th spot was open last season. So if koeman gets us Europa then I'm happy with thst and I see that as his target achieved. If the board then finally back him then he gets an opportunity to prove himself to the clubs thst he wants to manage.

Make no mistake I see koeman as a mercenary manager rather than a long term one. a higher paycheck could see him leave either way , as that is what got him here to begin with haha
