I hate to say it but what Koeman allegedly said about Rom is true.

The kid is too good for a bottom half English side.
Koeman should have kept his mouth shut regarding Lukaku, why invite even more negative focus on us after the recent Chelsea embarrassment? any goodwill he may have generated as a new manager to Everton has evaporated completely, yes, we know Lukaku will leave but our support is passionate about Everton and Koeman has under estimated that, The crowd at Goodison will turn on him very quickly, early goal for Swansea next home game and the dutch Joe Kinnear will realise he isn't at Southampton any more. Amazingly he considers himself a candidate for Barca, not from what I have seen so far Mr Koeman

Whether what he said was true or not doesn't change the fact that as the manager of the club he shouldn't be saying things like that.
Kopite mate has been giving me some right stick today and frankly there's nothing to counter with what koeman has said. You consider yourself a big club, your new owner has big plans for the club and your manager says remarks like this blah, blah blah.
Koeman could have worded it so differently, but to say he needs to leave to realise his ambition is not just a kick in the teeth to our fans, but what does that statement say to the likes of Coleman, Barkley and gana.
I'll be honest with you I've never considered rom to be the type of striker koeman likes. He wants to play a high pressing game and let's face it roms game is not about closing people down. Ever since lukaku signed with that awful agent, we have had it rammed down our throats that rom need to move on to fulfil his ambition. Now we have the manager of our football club saying the same thing. After all moshiris talk earlier in the week, about taking the club forward, we have koeman actively encouraging our 'star' player to leave. What the likes of joe royle would make of koemans remarks is anyone's guess

He's said he wants to qualify for Europe (so top 7).

He actually said that in his first (or one of his first) pressers.

That's the plan for the club as well (in the short term). Moshiri confirmed this.

Playing Devils Advocate Roberto said we'd be playing in the Champions League. Ronald, or any other manager, is hardly likely to say we'll gladly finish anywhere.

I wish he'd just got the ferry to Dublin and gone and smashed Keane's kite all over the training ground while Seamus held his coat and tie. Instead he went to Ajax stadium to watch Roberto v Holland with his lad.

And now there's another fume-thread as a result.

What an oaf he's been in the last few days.

Koeman clearly will never have an affinity with our fans or club in the way the crazy Kraut across the park seems to have already.
Think we are in for another Walter Smith type short reign myself.

Koeman's big project is himself the arrogant Trump lookalike.

what on earth are you on about, Smith was in charge for nearly 4 years, the second longest reigning manager since 87 when Kendall left.

I think alot of posters are falling into a trap here. Theyre 2nd guessing Koeman,

"Is he trying to get Lukaku playing better"
"Is he showing Moshiri hes dissatisfied"

Do you really believe that Ronald Koeman has the intelligence to answer a reporters question in such a manner to plant a subliminal message for Lukaku / Moshiri?

Hes a straight talker, he always has been and is an arrogant oaf. He has just answered a reporter with his opinion, which is that lukaku needs to move for the benefit of his career.

Thats it.

iirc half of you complain about Lukaku being 'lazy' if he doesn't score in one half running so is it just the cognitive dissonance that Koeman thinks he's really great that's bugging you?
