I am convinced that he has already sussed out the situation.

An average squad of players, institutionalized defeatism, and a club in a dire need of a trophy.

I think+hope that the January transfer window will witness the beginning of an upturn in fortunes.

We are desperate for definitive news on the proposed dockside stadium.

Apologies to young Blues on here for any perceived pessimism, but us oldies have had nothing but disappointment and empty promises for far too long.

koeman will be here two years max if he does well eg gets us into europe or a cup win he will be off to a so called bigger club. if after two years we are still in the same position 9th 10th 11th he will have been moved on

Koemans big plan?

Pick up 6 million here for the next two years then take the Dutch job after Russia 2018

He turned down a contract extension at Feyanord , turned one down at Southampton and it wouldn't be surprising if he did the same here

Yay.....we could be rid of both Koeman and Trump on this day four years hence

Not when your revenue has just increased by 50 million pound. Honestly, people spent months in the summer talking about how the sale of Stones was needed in order for us to move on from our 2007 mid table wage structure, and now everyone is acting like it never happened and are placing non-existent wage restrictions on ourselves.

Might be wrong here but doesn't the Stones money only apply for the season it's obtained in? If we don't spend it in January we might as well not have sold him?

I also think that it's more him commenting on both Lukaku's attributes and ability and just how far he can potentially go. Its pretty well known, by the club too, that Koeman would move if a leading club came in so we're under no real illusions about his permanence.

It's the Belgian press too and so this makes me more than slightly suspicious, as they really do want him to be at a Barca or Real etc and therefore would be very anxious indeed to put any slant on the interview that may indicate that could happen sooner rather than later...

Undoubtedly it would be what their readers would like to hear

Isn't it all about timing? There is a huge thread - mainly positive - about Moshiri's interview and plans for the club, its ambitions and long term goals. This comes following a harrowing performance at Stamford Bridge and ahead of the international break. We take the performance on the chin, well we were smashed and embarrassed to be honest, because we reckon it'll get better sooner because of the investment and clearing of debt. And....the steer that Koeman runs (all) football matters in EFC, the majority shareholder backs his manager (or fires him)! My spin on words, I know.

Then forty eight hours later, the Manager of EFC says our biggest asset, the leader of the line, record signing and leading goalscorer should look to leave EFC if he his to ever fulfil his ambitions & ablities. Whether that's true - and without reading our Manager's full statement - it's a bloody strange time to come out and say it!! Lukaku gets hammered on for talking to the European press on every EFC outlet about his future, yet our manager has endorsed this eventuality at a time the club are usually seeking to say nothing as he majority of the first team are away.

I just don't get it. We've created a storm when here was no need - do the damage limitation post Saturday's result - let the Press absorb Moshiri's musings - then get themselves excited about Keane and his big gob before they concentrate on Friday's game. But, no...our Manager jumps right in, centre right and left to say in a no football news day that our centre fireworks should look elsewhere for his football! I don't get it.
