What if Liverpool won the title?

The Rafael team that finished second to Manu in 2009 was a very good team. The reason they didn't win the Prem that year was the Gerrard arrest, it caused massive disruptions to their title ambitions, it plagued them for the rest of the season. This team isn't a patch on that one.

Benitez team (it pains me to say) were very accomplished, especially in Europe. This lot will be destroyed in the CL next season.

I'd say the reason they didn't win the league was because man united were at another level to them. United had an attack that season of tevez, Rooney, ronaldo, berbatov. All in peak form.

Also Rafael dropped stupid points at home because he used to rest players for Europe

It was a very good side, especially the midfield. The current side have a great attack which covers up the average set of players behind them. They won't win the league.....

And how Carrgaaaalaaar can say their penalty victory over a average United side this weekend was better than their 4-1 a few years back (that had Ronaldo, Rooney, Ferdinand, Vidic in their peak) I don't know.

Over excited I guess.

Is that No they won't win it or No you wouldn't be happy......
It's NO

Please don't let it happen
I won't be happy
I can't imagine how impossible some of them will bevif it happens
I hope it won't happen but it's getting too close for comfort.

I love Everton 1000x more than I hate Liverpool, but this really has nothing to do with Everton and so I really hope they don't win the title. I don't think they will anyway, like, I mean if they do it's got to be the worst team to win the league in quite a while. Kolo Toure ffs.

But anyway, it's just because of the sheer amount of cringeworthy gloryhunting cheese we'd all be exposed to. I have no qualms with a passionate RS, who follows their team because it's their team. But I recall the melts who came out of the woodwork back when they won the CL. I guess that's the benefit of supporting Everton -- no glory, but no gloryhunters at least.

I think they will win the league, Chelsea will have too many stupid games where they don't score like Villa and West Ham (Mourinhio arrogance for not getting in a striker) City can't keep Aguero fit and they are not the same without him and also the situation surrounding Kompany and what ban he is due to face. City's next 3 away games UTD, Arsenal and Liverpool in that order, they can lose one as long as they win every other game this season, 10 out of 11 and the league is theirs, but with their sketchy away form and DeMichelis being Peligrini's favorite I just can't see them stopping Liverpool away, from outscoring them. Liverpool will win the rest of their away games, and they will tonk Spurs and Newcastle at home so if Liverpool beat Chelsea and City (which I think they will and comfortably) then unless city win the other 11 games the league is Liverpool's

It should be noted that this is gonna be their only chance to do it for a while, when they are European regulars and Gerrard finally drops of they will just be in and around 3rd, 4th and 5th place.

But I would be amazed if they didn't win the league this time. They have what so many teams want at this time of the season Momentum, like that team that makkes a late push for the play off these are hitting it perfectly to see them home they are even winning away comfortably which 3 months ago the were not.

I wouldn't discount arsenal, their on level points as Liverpool, take 4 points from their next 2 games against city and chelsea and they will be right up their.

They have a relatively simple run in too, apart from the next 2 and the game against us

Thats worst case if arsenal stop chelsea and city from winniing whilst the rs have cardiff and sunderland they will be top of the league and have everything in their own hands need chelsea to beat arsenal and liverpool are as good as a point ahead of arsenal due to their superior GD and arsenal wont match that before the end of the season, If chelsea lose to arsenal or draw then by next Wednesday liverpool will be top of the league and chelsea wont have a game in hand, arsenal need to lose to city and chelsea

Yeah I see where your coming from, but liverpool will drop points along the way. Apart from the great chelsea sides and arsenal's 01/02 season no one has had a perfect run in.

They're still one loss away from being out of the title picture
