What if Liverpool won the title?

Would you honestly want us to win the league?

The reason everyone on here will say no is that they know tons of Liverpool fans, and though in Asia you're probably all a lot more tolerable, over here by and large they're incredibly tedious to talk football with. We'll never hear the end of it.

I'm leaving the 2 weeks after Sunday 11th May clear in my diary, as on the off chance that Liverpool do manage to lift the title, I'm taking the next available flight to anywhere until the fallout has settled.....

Part of me wants you to get within a whisker and then be denied by a dubious refereeing decision, preferably by Howard Webb :)

I love the way the Kopites are still trying to avoid being labelled 'in a title race'.

You are, and you're going to feel the pressure of it, so start shitting yourselves. The expectations are heavy and it'll be a massive burden.

I dont know if everything inside of me just can't accept it but I still dont see them as title contenders. Its still Man Cities to loose and Chelsea to win if city dont do it.

If Liverpool win the league I will finally solve the rubix cube and leave this forum.

I literally cant be arsed with that happening.

This thread title.

It sends a shiver down my spine.

Please, God.....(or Jose, Manuel or Arsene) don't let it happen :(

We play City 2nd last game, at home, if we were to win and...no it's unthinkable...no way the universe would be that perverse,.would it?

If Liverpool win the title Satan will finally take over the Universe and torture everyone eternally. Isn't that what's specified in the pact?

Past caring what Liverpool do other than when we play them.

I go back to the 60s when they were becoming a genuine phenomena what passes for LFC these days is a pale imitation they just try too hard becoming an absolute parody of the local fans who used to go.

Most are now from Oslo and Dublin so it doesn't come off.

If it was spurs or us on the run of form the RS are enjoying I'd have no doubts City and Chelsea would prevail, as it is the devil looks after his own so it's on.

(Cue the camera pointing at the kop, the director shouts "action" the naff karaoke song begins..... and the entire country yawns and switches off).

I won't disagree with you that our defence is pretty much second-rate.

And our midfield isn't exactly great either.
But there's something about the midfield, that makes it click with our fantastic front two up front.

I don't think you can say we have a gash team. I'd say our team is definetly good enough to finish in the top 4, but challenging for the title as yet, is still rather too early.
Lucky with injuries? I'd really beg to differ. We had our entire first choice defence out for two months.

After November or so, we never had a chance to really play a full-strength team, untill maybe next week when Lucas and Sakho is back.

Enrique has been out for close to 4 months or maybe even more now.
Johnson has been in and out.
Agger has been injured here and there too.
Even Sakho, who i think is our best centreback this season, hasn't really played that much.

Gerrard was out for a few weeks after the Spurs game. He missed the Chelsea and City game. Huge loss. And yet you could argue that we could have, or should i say, should have ought to have gotten a point against both , better teams as you'd call it.

Our system is being found out? Sorry mate. But you are starting to get a little bitter here.

Not bitter at all mate, I posted elsewhere that I'm actually sort of happy that Liverpool are doing well and what a boost it will be for the city to have both clubs in Europe next season.

Yes you have been lucky with injuries because the ear biting racist hasn't been levelled out yet, the rest of your team doesn't matter one jot because your squad is interchangeably bad, without ratface and Sturridge, since he's been fit, you'd be nowhere. You should finish 3rd behind City and Chelsea, if Arsenal don't completely implode they'll be 4th and we'll be 5th.
