What if Liverpool won the title?

A little disclaimer first.

I'm a Liverpool fan. Not going to hide that.

And, honestly, i can't stand Chelsea. Been grinding out results all season. Hardly ever played well. Defence has been rock solid though.

City are the best team in the league. But they are bloody inconsistent. FFS. Beating Norwich 7-0 at home to draw to Norwich 0-0 away? What a load of [Poor language removed].

I'd honestly like to know, if Liverpool won the title, would Everton fans actually be happier with us winning it, rather than Chelsea or maybe Arsenal to win it?

Yeah we're local rivals, but meh, we are still part of the city of Liverpool. Better for our city to win it than others eh?

We still play Spurs, City and Chelsea at home.

I'd say our home form is excellent. We thwacked Arsenal 5-1 and we obviously then beat you 4-0 there. We technically demolish teams for fun there. Spurs probably will come to get a beating, and if City are going to play like the way they did against Wigan, we'll beat them too.
Chelsea? The annoying Jose will try his best to prevent a defeat for his team, because he knows that if we don't beat them, he'll probably win the title.

You see i may echo a lot of other people on this site when i say it is not liverpool winning the league that bothers me. You have spent a lot more money than us and made some good signings and are now reaping the rewards. Ok you are better than us, but then we are a club that sees making a profit every transfer window a progression, and if we dont have to sign a player then we wont, which is why half the team is knackerd now.

Anyway, i digress. What bothers me about the subject are the fans that are complete arseholes to be honest. You know the type, don't go the game, post pictures on facebook all day long about how they used to be good, hurling cheap and boring insults at everton fans (especially together, they love ganging up on us) rather than genuinely just being a fan. I have a guy in work that i can talk to about football, he is a red and we banter a bit sure. Fact is i can actually talk to him about football whereas go on face book or generally around and you get the half arsed duck heads who just like to repeat the words bitters and 20 years.

Going back to 2005, i wa shappy you won the european cup the way you did. I was happy for the fans, obviously must have been brilliant. But do that now days and the petty abuse would be unbearable for me personally, its not big or clever :)

so no i dont want liverpool to win the league, it is the one thing stopping the half arsed fans from posting pictures and gloating over the internet.

Seems like nobody would be happy if Liverpool won the title.

and you would rather have Chelsea or City win it.

Well, that's your opinion, and i respect that.

Works both ways. If we won the title I'd be pretty annoyed if my RS mates were genuinely happy for us. I'd want them to be burning.

I once read a post on here, that back in the days, when Liverpool won their first European cup it seems?
Everton fans were at the parade too, celebrating the truimph of Liverpool, as a city of the European cup.

Yes that's true and we all know what happened there when Emlyn Hughes ridiculed our club. I hope City or Chelsea win it, my brothers a RS fan and I couldn't take more gloating from him plus some of my mates will never shut up about it either.

They're not a gash team and are brilliant going forward but they will have to learn from City that in the CL you need a strong defence as well to succeed otherwise top teams will pick them off.

Out of all the clubs eligible to play association football, Liverpool are rock-bottom in clubs I would prefer winning the title.

But if it happened, I would prefer not to be arsed than waste energy fuming over it.

I don't hate Liverpool FC, by the way. But they cringe me like no other thing does. You lot winning any kind of trophy just makes me cringe. So prefer to battle that nauseating feeling by birthing a NEA attitude.

I don't live in Liverpool, so can't comment on you lot winning being somehow 'good for the city'. I reckon this is bollocks myself, as local Evertonians are a lot more hardcore than me in their cringe at Liverpool FC.

LFC winning the title is 'good for the city'.

'Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic', courtesy of Emelyn Hughes, Phil Thompson and Terry McDermott.

I went to St. George's the night they showed off the European Cup, with my RS mates, and after that was sung there were a few scraps. As the saying goes, 'once bitten, twice shy'. They had no class then and they certainly have even less class now. As far as any trophy goes, it is anyone but the RS.
