What if Liverpool won the title?

Yeah I see where your coming from, but liverpool will drop points along the way. Apart from the great chelsea sides and arsenal's 01/02 season no one has had a perfect run in.

They're still one loss away from being out of the title picture
I agree but I cant see where it is coming from they are ruthless at the moment, city at their fluent best could beat them yes, but they are not at the moment and Chelsea could put in one of those Mourinhio away performances such as City away for chelsea this year or Inter away at Barca a few years ago, but I think Chelsea too will drop other points, best hope is that City come through UTD and Arsenal away with maximum points going into RS game affording to lose, but should they do that then we could hand the RS the title if we beat City in our last home game, but should it come to that I would quite happily see someone play a gerrard esqu back pass to set City up for the win as they did V chelsea a couple of years ago

Even city have 3 games in the final 7 days, which could be a disadvantage at that stage of the season something that none of the other competitors do.

I think city have to win all their games and get a point at anfield to have any chance of the title.

Chelsea have room for manoeuvre and can drop a few points. Mourinho knows Rodgers inside out and will probably get a result at anfield.

Arsenal just need to keep winning and hope for the best.

And how Carrgaaaalaaar can say their penalty victory over a average United side this weekend was better than their 4-1 a few years back (that had Ronaldo, Rooney, Ferdinand, Vidic in their peak) I don't know.

Over excited I guess.

I bet he's going mad on the quiet and hoping they fail because he's not involved.

I would back Jose over Rogers over a crucial 9 match run. Everytime. And I think that is the key now. All good sides, obviously, but Jose has done it before, many times. And the RS have been under no pressure at all till now.

Form, matches against "easier" teams, CL distractions. All irrelevant now. Well not irrelevant, but you get the point.

Cant really comment about Pellegrini, because quite simply I had hardly heard of him before this season.

But I am sure he has been under the sort of pressure that is coming soon.

Benitez team (it pains me to say) were very accomplished, especially in Europe. This lot will be destroyed in the CL next season.

Too quick to judge? A team that destroys Arsenal, and gave City and Chelsea a run for their money wouldn't be trashed in the CL.

Points on the board trump games in hand. Chelsea have it to lose, basically. City impressed me last Saturday though. Away to a team with their tails up and a front two in form, going down to 10 men from the 6th minute after a midweek game against Barcelona, but still bouncing back to win two nil.

That was a performance of champions. The manager is a possible weak link, however. He won a title in Argentina but has never won a thing in Europe. I wonder how he'll perform in a run in. Same goes for Brent the no mark on that score too.

I love the way the Kopites are still trying to avoid being labelled 'in a title race'.

You are, and you're going to feel the pressure of it, so start shitting yourselves. The expectations are heavy and it'll be a massive burden.
Every time you say they're going to struggle, or they're going to crack under the pressure, they do the exact opposite.

Do me a favour and say they're gonna win the league from now on?

that would guarentee them the title, if they win 10 or 9 and draw 2 the title is theirs

Im also have a huge problem with their fans. MOST are non-match going, self-obsessed, self-entitling, lack of knowledging, lack of respecting, racist supporting, diving supporting utter carts who make a once in a life time pilgrimage to Merseyside, go to the game and think that is it, they are fully fledged fans.

I know all clubs have fans from around the world, I do not have a problem with them, it is the way the RS fans from around the world literally act like they are brothers, united against the footballing world and a part of some cum stained family. AARRGH - I will laugh hard when they don't win it AGAIN.

Apologies to the OP - seems like a nice chap.

I think they will win the league, Chelsea will have too many stupid games where they don't score like Villa and West Ham (Mourinhio arrogance for not getting in a striker) City can't keep Aguero fit and they are not the same without him and also the situation surrounding Kompany and what ban he is due to face. City's next 3 away games UTD, Arsenal and Liverpool in that order, they can lose one as long as they win every other game this season, 10 out of 11 and the league is theirs, but with their sketchy away form and DeMichelis being Peligrini's favorite I just can't see them stopping Liverpool away, from outscoring them. Liverpool will win the rest of their away games, and they will tonk Spurs and Newcastle at home so if Liverpool beat Chelsea and City (which I think they will and comfortably) then unless city win the other 11 games the league is Liverpool's

It should be noted that this is gonna be their only chance to do it for a while, when they are European regulars and Gerrard finally drops of they will just be in and around 3rd, 4th and 5th place.

But I would be amazed if they didn't win the league this time. They have what so many teams want at this time of the season Momentum, like that team that makkes a late push for the play off these are hitting it perfectly to see them home they are even winning away comfortably which 3 months ago the were not.

This post is dread inducing because it brings it all home in crystal clarity.

Time to reach for the rosary beads :(

City have Nastasic and Jovetic coming back soon and they'll both be big boosts, Aguero's injury isn't as bad a first feared. Hopefully they don;t rush him back for the derby, as basically they shouldn't even need him.

If City beat United, Fulham, Villa, West Ham, Palace, Sunderland, West Brom and Southampton (only the palace and united games are away) they'll be on 84 points, they only need a draw with Liverpool to pretty much guarantee they'll finish ahead of them. As this gives them 85 points and Liverpool will only be able to get a maximum of 87 points.

City would need two more points from the games against City and ourselves. I'm sure we'd oblige if they needed more.

Liverpool aren't going to win. Relax.

Saw they're after Rodrigo £25m, hopefully this goes through as this wipes out the CL revenue in one fell swoop and they'll incur another £50m loss. Lovely stuff.

win it, don't win it.

Either way they are already massive tedious bellends.

Nothing will change.

I will still hate them.
