Polly gets put down in the morning. Not looking forward to it, it will wrench my guts but at long last I've managed to persuade the women that its the correct course of action. The poor little love is suffering and that is the last thing I wanted to see. I could well be missing tomorrow as the atmosphere round here will not be good as we are losing one of the family.

sorry to hear of this, if it's any comfort everybody at some time of another loses a close pet, it happens with humans, it's all part of life I'm afraid, no living thing goes on forever, I've had experiences of losing a much loved pet and it isin't nice.

Really feel for you and your family monty. However, I think you made the only right decision on her behalf. I can imagine that it feels like losing a member of the family, as pets are that much more than just an animal.

If she's in pain though, it's the best thing for her, as heartwrenching as it is.
