After the year we have had I honestly expected even more crap to be piled on top still can't believe it but its true. I had always had that inner smugness that said 'I'll be the one to go first' never once envisaged life without my missus and it suddenly scared six kinds of crap out of me........................thanks lads as things like this is what makes GOT, its a home and a family despite arguments live with each other as you never know when something can come along and snatch it away

Holy bananas, "I'll be the one to go first"? Please dude that is a little less than perfect, maybe focus on the time you have and enjoy it instead of trying to second guess the geezer with the sickle. That is not a criticism, but a kick up the backside to hopefully help you see that you have been given more time and to enjoy it to the max and enjoy the love you are surrounded by. It is that that we are judged upon when judgment comes.

I know where you're coming from Dunc's but when you have a health record like mine and you try and work out all eventualities I can assure you my feelings are not that strange. |From time to time in the winter I need a walking stick, the wife completed the London marathon in under 3hr 40 min when she was 43.....always been as fit as a flea, no sign of illness or anything else until now. I joke saying I'm a creaking gate, look bad but will go one forever....if only

Today, after a year of hell the wife was given a total all clear from the hospital following the removal of that huge tumour. It was cancerous but a very low grade cancer. The specialist have kept it for reference it was that rare. They will monitor her for the next few years but the surgeon is as sure as he can be that it is all out, there is a low chance it may just return as they don't even know what causes this variety of tumour..............................great reason to get pissed, Crimbo came early today!:lol:
