Exactly.

No sympathy for them. They ARE right 100%, though. Everton's approach DID crater their season and the manager was gutted not to be allowed to join us. But they had a massive compo placed under their nose and tried to tough it out when the answer was to let Silva go and for them to get the next one in their managerial list in through the door.

Spot on.

We offered the big bucks for what is, let's face it, an unproven manager. They were mad not to take the cash, especially once he knew he wanted to come to Everton.

Plenty of decent managers around for a club of Watfords stature (without sounding like a bell). Interesting to see where they go from here.

Also would ACTUALLY show that Moshiri doesn't flip flop and soon as the one he really wanted became available he acted, AND would give the impression that he used Allardyce all along as a stop gap until Silva became available.

May not be true, but the perception would actually be that he had a plan all along (and appearance is more important sometimes than reality)

Pay Allardyce off, 8m tops.

We could swop Allardyce for Siva and save 7m to get the choice Moshiri wanted all along.

If I was Moshiri I'd do it tomorrow.

Could happen if Sam continues getting bad results can't see it myself though.

Just to say whilst I back our owners statement over this mornings news, I don't believe Everton did anything wrong. You saw something you wanted and you went after it. Seems we won the battle then...but you may end up winning the war. I so wanted Silva to knuckle down once you appointed BFS but our statement this morning says that he did the exact opposite and effectively owned tools. He may well end up at yours in the summer, or before. But you should let those words ring in your ears because its likely he will do the same further down the line.

He carries no favour with any of us anymore. Not because he wanted to join you - I understood that to a point. Bigger club, more money etc etc. But his attitude since has burnt any bridge left to him.

You may well get your other wish too now I suspect as the fans will want Z-Cars gone too.

The bullish amongst you will no doubt crow about this mornings news, thats to be expected from football fans. The rest of you should be wary about Silva IMO.

Good luck for the rest of the season and see you all for a fiery game at the end of February!

It'd be an audacious move to consider. I doubt he will right now. But hopefully this is done and dusted for the summer.
