Dunc knows the score where Sammy Lee is concerned, only one not smiling, itching to stick one on him.

That's plenty time for him to get a hand on the squad and find something that works do you not think ?

Given his track record, perhaps. But dunno, mate, just can't help but feel saying a manager has got 5 games to win you over / give you cause to write him off is somewhat harsh. Personally I'll reserve judgement until after January, not saying every game is a write off until then though, like.

It’s obviously a huge opportunity for him. Good players here and now low expectations for this season given how we’ve started. Probably the ideal conditions for a manager to come into. If he can nail the basics of set pieces, defence, playing players in correct positions and getting the fitness and attitude right he’ll already be better than the last two blokes.

Just watched and listened again to that first press conference and I really hope he does well here.

He was never anybody's first choice, but he's here now and said more positive and sensible things in that session than Koeman did in 18 months.

He's not stupid, he knows he's nothing close to being a popular choice with many fans, and he'll know Lee won't be either, but as others have said, it's not about individuals, it's about the club and if Sam Allardyce can put us back on the road to first respectability and then hopefully, glory - then let's get on board with it.

COYB !!!

Every blue I have spoke to is buzzing for tomorrow.

Saturday 3pm at Goodison used to = 3 points.
We should have a few for the rest of the season now. Lets make them count.

He has a great set of opening fixtures where if we can get a few wins, you never know what confidence can bring.

Look at Villa; 18th September they were 18th in Championship. Ten weeks later they are third.

You never know.

Thought he spoke well there. It is a nice feeling to be looking forward to a game at the weekend. If they work on fitness and research the opposition then that will improve things straight away.

Just watching that now. Quite impressed at his quick thinking. He had smart, reasoned answers for questions that could have been tricky. Stayed calm and seemed quite confident, easy said before taking charge of any games tho.
Here's hoping he does well.
