Every blue I have spoke to is buzzing for tomorrow.

Saturday 3pm at Goodison used to = 3 points.
We should have a few for the rest of the season now. Lets make them count.

He has a great set of opening fixtures where if we can get a few wins, you never know what confidence can bring.

Look at Villa; 18th September they were 18th in Championship. Ten weeks later they are third.

You never know.
Don’t be using them ratbags as your benchmark mush. They are going nowhere fast.

everyone happy with what he said at the press conference, but has anyone watched his first press conference at the other clubs he have managed? did he say the same things?

I noticed he seemed to be quite ambitious, suggesting we could climb up the league to get a European place and FA cup final and apparently he has some way to get us back in the Caraboa cup... ??

I think he had next season in mind when he was talking about winning the Carabao Cup!!

Well, one of the things he said was that we have more points than games and usually when he takes over a club the opposite is the case.

So he can't have said that at Palace or Sunderland :)

I see him in a different light after that interview. I saw Sam Allardyce the man, rather than the media driven persona. I have a sneaky feeling that Sam is the manager we need to push on, rather than the shiny boss named manager we think we want.

Agree on this, there is a stigma on Sam, i even think being English, old and obese are the first thing we think of, but if he was smart, handsome with an Italian or Spanish name we would be all over him

It's bound to make a big difference having someone who is Chuffed to be our manager, rather than someone with no knowledge of what this great club stands for, or just seeing it as a stepping stone/pay day. As much as Silva would be a good appointment, I think he would fall into the latter category.

Sam will be driven. I especially liked his words on how he adapts to the footballing philosophy expected by the club. I think good things will come.

Thought it was a good interview; said all the right things without going overboard. I was kind of hoping he'd be sat there with a pint of Guinness in front of him and munching away on a meat & potato pie.
