Transfer Rumour Virgil van Dijk

Jesus Dave, you are now seriously contesting that not one player has improved, ever, since moving to Everton.
Lukaku has improved undeniably since his arrival. His hold-up play and first touch as well as his positional sense are markedly improved from his first year.
Baines was once called one of the best left backs in europe during his best years and no one should soon forget the Bainaar link up down the left. Ludicrous to suggest he's not better here than he was at wigan.
Coleman is obviously better here. When he arrived he wasnt even trusted as a right back, now he's cemented his place in the team for 4 years running.

Will also include these players who improved AFTER they moved to Everton:
Arteta
Pienaar
Cahill
Lescott
Stones

Some days you need to post less rubbish and today is one of them.

That's just perception. There's no one out there independent of Everton who are sitting up and saying: "I tell you what Lukakus/Baines/Coleman's game has soared in the last 6 months".

That's just not happening.

We have a manager who cant or wont coach better ways and wants to be a chequebook manager to get around that.

I know that Davek is supposed to be serious with his posts and opinions and all of that, but most days I cant just help but feel its one long troll job...hes really just a plant for the Onion, testing material on forums to see if its any good. Some days I feel like thats really the only explanation
You could just address the concerns expressed - you know, contest the points raised - as opposed to casting aspersions and trying to get posters banned. Give it a go, you might like it.

Yep, he is a WUM, either to himself or everybody else.

Can't see the point in just saying anything to get a reaction myself. His above post just highlights that.

You do talk utter wham mate. We have a manager who has us at 7th in the league. He has done this with a team of players of which there are a few he doesn't even want. The team above us in the league spent £150m+ In the summer.

Terrible football and our season ended January 7th.

Yeah mate. He's been a roaring success.

Take a look at the opening seasons of the last two Everton managers and have a think again at how this season is going for us.

Dave could you say the same about Mourinho first 6 months with UTD (although just starting now to hit form) , Peps first 6 months with City, Klopps first 6 months with Liverpool, the 3 I have mentioned are all very highly rated managers in the game. They were struggling to make their mark on a club after 6 months with far better quality than we have

Moyes left Roberto with a team that finished 6th in the league.
Roberto left Koeman with a team that finished 11th in the league.

Anyway VVD. Southampton now down to 13th - might make it harder for them to sell if they start fearing getting close to the drop zone.

Guardiola has made big impact early - only the idiots of the media who are desperate for him to fail could call out a team that's been top two most of the season; Klopp! he took them by the scruff of the neck first 6 months (he arrived in September last year) and f=got them to two finals.

Yeah and take a look at what they actually won in the end...

They won it yeah. Fair dos to them (with a massive leg up from officials who allowed them to get away with murder...which they're now cracking down on which is why they are all at sea).

But they have proven what they are since then.
