Don't be ridiculous. The 'loads of trophies' you refer to were predominantly won over a century ago. In any objective attempt to answer the question 'who is bigger' you'd surely have to weight how recently those trophies were won. I'll give you their shout in winning the EC; but then so have Forest. For me their regular seasons spent outside the top Division mean they can never be put alongside the mighty Blues.
I like that he's an absolute failure
Villa.
I used to think so. But just 2 titles?Spurs are a massive club, end of !

Pfffft!
Number of seasons when Everton have finished above Aston Villa - 64
Number of seasons when Aston Villa have finished above Everton - 53
11 seasons when no football was played due to World War 1 & 2.
Everton have never been in the Third Division, whilst Villa spent two seasons there in 1970-1972.
Good research, & your point is !!
Of course, they finished above us last season. But are Southampton and West Ham bigger than us though
Everton is clearly bigger than Villa based on our entire history, our league title success has generally come throughout our history and not like Villa, all (bar 1981) contained in a period pre-1910. The European Cup stuff is good for Villa, and they are a big club, but Notts Forest have won 2 European Cups and they aren't bigger than Everton either.
Also when the Premier League was first being formed, Villa weren't regarded as one of the big 5 clubs in the country, even when they'd just finished 2nd in the league in 1990. They weren't involved in any of the negotiations.
The big 5 involved in all the negotiations with the FA and Sky were Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal.
No Man City. No Chelsea. And no Aston Villa.
It's all changed mate in the last ten to fifteen years with regards to Chelski & Citeh, the big five now for me would be ;
United, Citeh, Chelski, Red [Poor language removed], Arse, with Spurs bubbling under !
In fact the top six in the league funnily enough LOL !!
Some or all of that may be true, but it doesn't change the fact that Everton are bigger than Villa, always have been and most certainly are in 2017.
Even if you take perception, league finishes and trophy wins out of it, Everton have set so many firsts in British football, even down to things like breaking the British record transfer fee paid multiple times. That's a big club. Villa have never done that or stuff like it. Villa's biggest claim to fame is their ground was a convenient geographical location every year for other teams to play FA Cup Semi Finals there.
More teams have had more famous games at Villa Park than Villa have.
