AI is used in the semi-automated offside process, as you can see from the posts above people don't trust that either.

We might as well just abandon it at this point. It could have been something good that would've enhanced the game, but the refs in this sport are far to incompetent and crooked to use it properly. Its just a shield to protect them from their own stupidity at this point. Every game loses 20 odd mins to it on decisions that a five year old could've correctly decided on with a two second glance. Just get rid. Its rubbish.

Something very wrong when a recently retired professional referee thinks it’s a ‘stonewall’ yet it’s not even referred. VAR was supposed to take the conjecture out by defining what is and what isn’t but there’s such disparity in judgement calls.

Yes, nothing wrong with the technology itself, but when you have the same corrupt/cowardly/incompetent officials operating it, it's bound to fail. Also the moment they started using the word "interpretation" in the decision-making process, I knew we were ****ed.

Totally agree, but the problem is it generates too much interest in the sport,more Press, more publicity, which leads to more money.
